It's hard for me to not feel like giving up. I often have those thoughts of just quitting, going back to being a anonymous face on the internet, going back into my hole. I struggle with a lot of self-confidence issues and then you top it with a anxiety disorder and my brain just loves to feed off the tiniest thought. Lately it's been kicking my ass a lot, causing me to spiral into those thoughts of quitting and more. I'm trying so hard but it gets hard when you notice more and more regulars not showing up anymore and your analytics staying on a downward trend. I know I know, I shouldn't take that stuff so hard, I shouldn't focus on numbers, etc etc. But it's not easy to ignore that stuff. I try so hard to figure out new things to do on stream, ways to get more people to join the community, to interact in the discord, and more, and sometimes it just feels like it's in vain. Time's like that I try to hold onto the thought of those who have come to me and said my streams are the highlight of their week, that spending time with me has helped them overcome their own anxiety. At the end of the day, that's what I want. Like yes, I'd love to turn this into a better paying career because I am disabled and SSI doesn't give enough to survive monthly, but that's a smaller piece. My main drive is to help people, to make them happier, to drive others to help each other. My brain is rough on me, without my community and friends, I would have given up a long ago, would have given up when my average got stuck under 8 viewers, but if I did I'd be doing a disservice to those I've helped, and those that need my streams as a escape. My community may be small in numbers, but I treasure them so much. So I keep pushing myself, striving to improve things more and more for them, because making others happy makes me happy. I know I've made similar posts in the past, but posting these ramblings helps me put my head back on my shoulders when it feels like the world is crumbling around me. This is a lot of rambling to just say, I will keep pushing, I won't give up, no matter how much it hurts, I will carry on. Guys I’m not gonna lie. I cried at work today. I’m feeling so demotivated from everything. Like I’m messing everything up. All of the plans I had been excited for, everything I’ve been working towards. It all feels like it’s gone. I’m so tired.
