Without tag and disclosure, there still are clear signs when one was used-so doing it helps to say no to games using pirated content their AI is trained on.

@mattworkman Agreed. The AI tag is relevant to art exhibits for authorship disclosure, and to digital content licensing marketplaces where buyers need to understand the rights situation. It makes no sense for game stores, where AI will be involved in nearly all future production.

Steam and all digital marketplaces need to drop the “Made with AI” label. It doesn’t matter any more.

I've been keeping an eye on the Gothic Remake drama because it's one of the most cut and dry examples of a company sanitising their source material in a while. The funny part is, despite literally censoring the game, they're lying to your face about it. Mop and bucket in hand.

@roger_creus_art The only way to violate any such laws would be if your title was glorifying Nazism, spreading hate against minorities and such symbols were used. Not attempting to get an USK rating, when your game will likely end up on the German index, is a smart decision. Why waste money?

The reason is simple: the game includes historical World War II symbols. In Germany and Austria, showing these symbols in games is restricted under criminal law (§86a StGB and Verbotsgesetz 1947). These laws apply even when the game’s intent is anti-Nazi. /2

@roger_creus_art In Austria the Verbotsgesetz doesn't apply, games like Wolfenstein and other WW 2 shooters, uncensored, could always be sold and purchased legally there. Not so in Germany. But they also allow it now. It may be put on their Index, so only adults can purchase.
