Overall, our data emphasize the crucial role of lipid metabolism in AD. The Neurolipid Atlas offers a valuable resource currently containing 50 datasets covering four neurodegenerative diseases. We invite other labs to contribute and grow this neurolipidomics resource! 🌐📊

Notably, cholesterol metabolism directly impacted the reactive response in our human astrocyte model. Our results suggest that immune activation might be essential to counter AD at early stages and is perturbed by ApoE4’s effect on cholesterol metabolism.
