The average America GenXer started working minimum wage jobs at 15 and we’ve never stopped busting ass since then. According to @Grok, if I had invested my money into the S&P 500 instead of paying social security and Medicare taxes, I’d have approximately $1.5 million in retirement savings. I’d be able to retire at 55 and live on $10k per month until I was at least 85! Is there any normal American who wouldn’t prefer this instead of begging the government for scraps until the day we die? According to Social Security, if I retire at 67, they’ll happily pay me $2,200 minus ($300 for Medicare) per month. How much are the illegals and asylum seekers getting? It’s way more than I’ll get! Why are we still letting our government abuse us?
