Everyone defending Smash 4 played a broken ass top tier. Literally anyone below Villager on the tier list was miserable in 90% of mus.

Besides Dead by Deadlight it is the complete opposite in every game at the moment. Maybe I should expand my own game library but I genuinely cannot think of another game that has this problem most competitive players want more people to play the game

Games shouldn't cater to one side, but catering to casuals makes games worse than pros/high rank because the high ranks play the game more and understand it better

“Toxic casuals” in the gaming community who not only reject, but advocate for the removal of skill gaps in games have done more damage to gaming than any “try hard” ever has.
Gaming casually is perfectly fine, but losing to those who take the time to learn, embrace, and master the mechanics of a game should be expected and accepted if you do play more casually.

Also (ran out of characters). Being a sweat isn't a bad thing, and using that term as an insult just signals how dogshit of a player and person you are.
The only bad "sweats" are ones who make playing games with their friends unfun OR ones who cheat to ensure they never lose.

Catering to new, casual and bad players instead of the most loyal, invested and talented playerbase is always incorrect.
There are exceptions, but like 95% of balance decisions should only be done around the top players of any game because they're the most invested (top 10-15%)

@1F41L I think you could even go as far as the top 10%.
But most recent games ruin themselves appealing to casuals vs the actual people investing time into their games. The person who plays a game 1-2 hrs a day, is more likely to spend money than the person playing once every 2-3 weeks
