@BrandonStraka @AmyLaceyMachado Losing faith is one thing. Tactic surrender to a party more aligned with Karl Marx than JFK is beyond apathy. It is a dereliction of duty.

I just finished reading Justice Clarence Thomas’s masterful speech from yesterday on celebrating the Declaration of Independence during America’s 250th anniversary. Simply extraordinary. I consider him to have the greatest biography of any living American, and one that surely embodies American ideals. The moral vision he inspires is stunning. And the whole speech is suffused with the Christian natural law tradition. In addition to its sweeping condemnation of progressivism, his speech is an immediate classic in civics formation. But that the speech’s content is now so foreign, so unfamiliar, to so many, reveals how successful progressivism has been in memory-holing our national inheritance. Progressivism is a civic, moral, and theological cancer. It must be fought against and defeated if there is to be an American order (and moral decency). Too many quotable lines, but here’s one: “The Constitution is the means of government. It is the declaration that announces the ends of government.”

@Canuk_ExPat @RepThomasMassie To be abused as long as the law is there to be abused. So it will absolutely be used to violate the constitutional rights of Americans during a temporary authorization.

@Canuk_ExPat @RepThomasMassie Yes it would still be admissible because the law was in place when the crime occurred. But if it was obtained in a way that violates someone’s constitutional rights like they did trump then it shouldn’t be able to be used. The problem is it’s been abused and it will continue

Charlie Kirk was on the right side of FISA!
Charlie Kirk@charliekirk11

🚨Speaker Mike Johnson defended shredding the 4th Amendment and passing FISA warrantless surveillance after a top-secret briefing with the NSA, CIA, FBI, DNI and DOJ. Well, @RepThomasMassie was in the same SCIF as Speaker Johnson, and he's fed up with the lying. Massie says there was NOT ONE EXAMPLE spying on Americans without a warrant was able to prevent terrorism. It's all a scam. Shame on Republicans who fall for it. #SCIFGATE

@Canuk_ExPat @RepThomasMassie Well if you’re willing to violate people’s constitutional rights to do law enforcement then that’s an even bigger problem. The constitution exists to prevent exactly that from happening

@Fixitguy8 @RepThomasMassie I agree... again.. but there is a thing called ideological suicide... the cleanup of decades of corruption requires the delay of the revoking of an unconstitutional law rhat has been on the books for a long time. Just my opinion.

@Canuk_ExPat @RepThomasMassie So we can temporarily violate the Constitution? That’s not how the Constitution works. The excuse of national security is laughable and is how we got the illegal patriot act that is permanent. And next time they need to renew it there will be another reason or crisis to justify

It's fascinating to see what social media reveals about a person before they become the Pope. Before he became Pope Leo XIV, Cardinal Robert Prevost was on Twitter trashing Trump, criticizing Vance, calling for open borders, promoting COVID vaccines, endorsing stricter gun control, and tweeting after George Floyd: "We need to hear more from leaders in the Church, to reject racism and seek justice." The account was deleted the day he was elected.
