Carlos Estévez is in a boot this morning and will have his ankle contusion reevaluated, but manager Matt Quatraro said he would be “surprised” if Estévez would be available today.
If he were, Quatraro said “we would not be averse to putting him in a lower-leverage situation.”

I remember when AEG prez Tim Leiweke gave us the “if you build it they (NBA or NHL) will come” speech, luring us into voting for a downtown arena in 2004. “I can assure you, there is going to be an anchor tenant,” Leiweke promised. What BS. Kansas City has never had a shot.

Just in: The NBA will hold a vote at the Board of Governors meetings March 24-25 to explore adding expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, with the two franchises targeted for the 2028-29 season, sources tell ESPN. There is momentum for stakeholders to approve surveying what industry executives project will be bids in the $7-to-$10 billion range for each team.

Really a terrific move by the Royals to add Hoz ( @TheRealHoz35 ) to the broadcast booth. Hoz will add a lot working with play-by-play guys Ryan Lefebvre and Jake Eisenberg, while joining a rotation with fellow analysts Jeremy Guthrie and Rex Hudler. Hoz has been great tonight.

Royals teammates Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino actually live in the same house together
During Spring Training for the last two years, they’ve been roommates in a house that they call “The Wittz-Carlton”
They live with a third roommate, Barry (Bobby’s dog). They drive a minivan to practice every day… and sometimes, Vinnie cooks 😂
