The best young players in @NL_Enterprise North Stephen Walker @safc A relatively young and gifted no.9 who’s comfortable with his back to goal or facing up defenders and an accomplished finisher. 17 goals and 1 assist in the league for a side who reached the play offs and probably exceeded expectations this season. The former Middlesbrough academy graduate who has also featured for englands u17,u18 and u19’s and has played and scored at lge one/two level previously, so wouldn’t be surprised if he was playing his football higher next season.

The best young players in @NL_Enterprise North Lewys Twamley @MerthyrTownFC The former Newport County and Yeovil winger scored an impressive 17 goals and 16 assists in 43 starts this season   Still only 22 the lively winger was a constant threat with Ricardo Rees early in the season and instrumental in Merthyr Town climbing the league. Out of contract this season and surely on his way up the pyramid to the national league or a @EFL league two club. Potential suitors a return to @YTFC or potentially @WealdstoneFC @EastleighFC Really good age and will only get better.

The best young players in @NL_Enterprise North Tom Scott @OxCityFC The former Sunderland player had an impressive season with Oxford City with a goal contribution rate of 0.6 per 90 mins from midfield in a side that struggled at the wrong end of the table for most of the season.   An energetic box to box midfielder who can play as an 8 or 10, makes intelligent runs in behind from deep and is constantly on the move, in a better team I would expect some serious numbers from him and would suit teams that like to control possession with lots of movement and rotation.   Be surprised if clubs like @bostonunited @wokingfc @altrinchamfc @halifax @SolihullMoors don’t already have him on their radar, and even higher with the likes of maybe a few @EFL clubs

Found Middlesbrough’s variance in shots and shot conversion interesting. The social media picture seems to be based around Tommy Conway’s finishing being the issue but the data doesn’t really support this - a minor underperformance but not major. Aidan Morris actually underperformed in front of goal more than Conway. Boro’s issue was shot quality - lowest xG per shot of any of the top teams in the Championship, they’ve taken far too many low quality shots. Shot volume ≠ goals

@ConceptScouting It’s why they did better against teams like Ipswich who attacked them a lot more. Decent side but always out numbered in the box due to creating overloads around the ball

@FootballDataAna I’ve watched them a few times and they definitely seems to be the pattern - similar picture with Hellberg at Hammarby last season.

The best young players in @NL_Enterprise North Luke Brennan @Buxton_FC The former @Rovers , @LaticsOfficial and @AFCFylde player had an impressive season with 15 goals and 11 assists in 42 starts   A quick and deceptive left winger who likes to drift inside and drive at defences. His end product is good with quality deliveries and some solid finishes that saw him produce good numbers since joining Buxton the season before. Didn’t quite get going at Fylde when they went up to the national league a few seasons ago but has established himself well at step 2 and looks ready to climb up the pyramid once again. However Buxton has secured his services for this season so he may staying put, for now…….

@FootballDataAna @wokingfc Since his injury he's played 11 games, 6 games as an unused sub and only got 2 G/A. I think he's a good prospect but not quite ready for National League just yet, despite his pre-injury form
