I still can’t believe these words were written unironically: “I don’t think parents reading their children bedtime stories should constantly have in their minds the way that they are unfairly disadvantaging other people’s children, but I think they should have that thought occasionally.” – Adam Swift, University of Warwick, England, May 2015

It will increase the temperature immediately surrounding the condenser unit outside, but at most you will only feel a difference within a couple feet, or half a meter-ish for our international audience. More importantly, hot air rises, it doesn't linger near the ground. There is no ceiling outdoors to trap the heat.

@Pathag0n It’s pissing in the ocean dude the heat load is so small that “zero” is an accurate estimate for engineering purposes

@BernieSanders Maybe it's frustration from half a century of Muslim extremists not getting the message and repeatedly trying to genocide them. But I don't know, what do you think?

This is not a normal statement from a normal cabinet member of a major nation.  This statement from Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir is the statement of a war criminal.  The racist, extremist Israeli government does not deserve one nickel of U.S. support.

@TheMuppetPastor @sola_chad I literally don't understand what Calvinists are supposed to do with the knowledge of alleged predestination. Then Jesus came to them and said, "Go unto all nations, and tell them 'neener neener neener' "

@sola_chad Because nobody can know that. And we can’t speak for God. Maybe it’s true. But man doesn’t tell God what He is or how He thinks.

@EricRSammons Commodification is literally what drives the market to meet the needs of the people. Because where the need exists, so too does the potential for profit.

Emphasis needs to be on the "free market." Flooding foreign countries with food only serves to depress local producers who have to compete with "free" and prevents new farmers from covering start up costs to meet demand. It short circuits the local economy and creates perpetual dependency. Intervention only increases and prolongs human suffering in the name of assuaging misplaced guilt. The entire Bible has as a consistent theme the law of Sowing and Reaping, in that you cannot have the latter until you have done the former. Even in old testament law, charity required labor. Farmers were not allowed to harvest the corners of their fields so that the poor could collect the "gleanings." Leviticus 19:9-10 When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10 Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the Lord your God. If the Pope cared, he should be advocating for local business investment and lobbying governments in impoverished regions to deregulate onerous restrictions that kill private enterprise.

Food is not a human right. Food is the product of human labor. For one to reap food, they must also sow or do labor to earn it. Furthermore, flooding foreign countries with food only serves to depress local producers who have to compete with "free" and prevents new farmers from covering start up costs to meet demand. It short circuits the local economy and creates perpetual dependency. Intervention only increases and prolongs human suffering in the name of assuaging misplaced guilt. This should be obvious for anyone with an above room temperature IQ who stopped to think about it for a minute.

It is important to resist the commodification of basic human needs. Food, water and healthcare cannot be subordinated to market considerations or geopolitical interests. Access to adequate food is a fundamental human right grounded in the dignity of every person. Meeting this need not only alleviates suffering but also addresses underlying causes of geopolitical instability. Indeed, food security is an essential component of global and integral security. vatican.va/content/leo-xi…

I studied this in high school for debate. One of the key factors people miss when you ship food into the region and give it away for free is that makes it harder for farmers to sell their produce and eliminates the ability for new farmers to cover start up costs to respond to demand. You're literally short circuiting the local economy and creating permanent dependency to assuage your own misspent guilt. If for some reason entrepreneurship somehow manages to occur, local governments skimming aid funds will sabotage it to keep foreign aid flowing. I watched a video of an African woman's Coca-cola stand getting bulldozed because it was doing too well.

Globally we produce enough calories to support 10 billion people but due to corruption of governments that oversee distribution there is starvation. Aid that is sent is sometimes destroyed or rots in shipping containers. Need a method for these people to easily make their own food so they can control their own access.

Muslims have crossed every limit of cruelty and barbarism. In Bangladesh, a pregnant Hindu woman was gang-raped by fucking Jihadis. Her 7-8 months old baby was pulled out forcefully and then Jihadis raped her mercilessly! 💔 Do you still consider these MFs humans? I don't! 🤬

Brittany was 24 weeks pregnant with a surrogate baby when she discovered she had cancer. Then things got worse. The gay couple the boy was intended for wanted him “immediately terminated.” Brittany refused abortion, and the couple threatened to abandon both the surrogate and the baby. They threatened lawsuits against Brittany and the hospital. Her team was even afraid to treat her without consulting lawyers. When adoption was offered, “the fathers stated they didn’t want their ‘DNA out there’ being raised by someone else.” They wanted a “death certificate.” Ashley was ultimately induced early at 25 weeks, and the baby boy died shortly after because his male purchasers refused to give him life-saving care. Ashley said the experience left her feeling like a “rented-out uterus.” She said she would have given the baby “every chance of survival.” This horrifying story reinforced how inherently exploitative surrogacy is. Ban surrogacy now.

@RoKhanna No, America is no responsible for the public health and safety of other countries, nor is it in our interest to prop up corrupt government stealing much of that aid. Take your "children are dying" BS elsewhere. US dollars should stay in America.
