@JOHNJOHNSTONED @doctorsoumya @BoehmeCatharina @mvankerkhove @RickABright @mattwridley @allegranzib @KuzmanovicA @Chikwe_I Short memory I’d say. If you say something often enough you start to believe it.

Maria says WHO guidance was “based on science, and we have a transparent process by which that is released”
How did WHO ever think they could get away with making SUCH definitive statements about transmission NOT being AIRBORNE?
There was NEVER any transparency for the rationale for making this claim, there was NEVER any scientific evidence to justify this claim.
This is in itself criminally negligent and morally indefensible….
…..but the fact that they KNEW it was AIRBORNE….
(Tedros had already made it clear THEY KNEW. Trump said there was a report from China saying it was AIRBORNE and EVERYBODY KNEW)
…and PROTECTED THEMSELVES with state of the art new ventilation system, and then DELIBERATELY LIED and misled the rest of the world about how to stay safe, it is hard to put into words how f¥@DrTedros
Barry Hunt@BarryHunt008
In hindsight, .@WHO already knew Covid was airborne They had already upgraded the ventilation at head office in Geneva & invited workers to come back to the office now that airborne mitigations were in place They knew They just weren't telling the world

@Frances__Daily Apologies, I posted the translation from a previous case. Please fine the correct ones below:

@EvonneTCurran @WHO Yep keep washing hands and we won’t catch an airborne infection……FFS
English

This is from the SARS1 report by the WHO.
There are so many errors in this brief paragraph.
Why did no one see this?
Pray tell @WHO how could you accurately determine if a pathogen was inhaled to infect from this nonsense

English

@SBSNews @Globalbiosec Every state should follow suit. And also recommend passengers wear N95 as poorly ventilated and cross infection is high

Tasmania and Victoria are offering free public transport amid rising fuel costs driven by the war in the Middle East. Here's how fares compare across every state and territory. bit.ly/3PG4Jte
English

@oud999_sk @jacobincambodia Yep things are grave unless the conflict is resolved quickly
English

@Frances__Daily @jacobincambodia Thailand has long ceased exports to Cambodia, with Vietnam and China now following suit. While fuel and LPG from Singapore and Malaysia remain available, prices have skyrocketed and the supply remains highly uncertain, with a high risk of export suspension.
English

The White House said Trump attacked Iran because he had a "good feeling" they were about to strike first. That feeling has now shut down the Strait of Hormuz and sent oil past $110 a barrel.
I'm in Kampot, Cambodia. LPG prices have shot through the roof and supply is nearly zero. I just bought this $25 hotplate as a plan B. That's a luxury here. Families who can't afford one are going back to cooking on charcoal.

English

@JOHNJOHNSTONED @mvankerkhove @BoehmeCatharina @JeremyFarrar @doctorsoumya @hans_kluge Complete failure.

How does one explain Maria’s profoundly, pathological lack of insight into the significance of WHO’s denial of AIRBORNE transmission and the central role she had in repeatedly reinforcing their disinformation?
This interview seemingly shows Maria’s complete lack of awareness of her personal responsibility for misleading the world about how to stay safe.
Does she simply just not grasp the fact that millions of deaths could have been prevented had she not repeatedly lied about AIRBORNE transmission??
Whatever way you look at she has a profoundly misguided view of the impact of her role in the “hundreds of press conferences” in which, along with Ryan and Tedros, she thinks she was able to “tell the world what they needed to do…..to prevent infections, to save lives”when in fact she did the reverse.🤡🤡
…. she even ends up boasting about saving the world and lives by being able “to turn science, to turn data, to turn knowledge….into evidence based guidance, into strategies”
Or is the explanation that she has a combination of narcissistic traits and a grandiose delusion disorder that allows her to offhandedly deny or downplay any culpability and to move on with no semblance of remorse or empathy, still thinking she has helped the world??

@F1asean @jacobincambodia Except if there’s no charcoal to use
English

@jacobincambodia Coal baked steak tastes better than frying it o. Hot plate.
English

@oud999_sk @jacobincambodia Already stopped supplying long ago haven’t they?
English

@jacobincambodia The bad news is that electricity rates are bound to rise. The Cambodian government is making a huge mistake by provoking Thailand the very neighbor that supplies their LPG and power. In the end, blind nationalism against a friendly neighbor will only lead to further isolation.
English

@AzureBlueSky1 @jacobincambodia Lack of charcoal will be a problem. Lacking alread
English

@jacobincambodia Maybe it is better for the non-city Cambodians to use charcoal? I mean, they are used to that right? Cooking over an open dire in the open air.
I think this lack of gas etc in Cambodia will not really faze the non-city folk. Am I wrong?
English

@jacobincambodia Charcoal now in very short supply in Cambodia. As always those without the means suffer the most. Those with means have alternatives. Asia and Africa will suffer the most thanks to this abominable war. Shocking situation for so many. Markets and roads quieter than usual today

Some component shortages so we had to redo the Torch 2 PCB again to use alternative parts. We're still probably 6 weeks out but everything else is finalized, so I had some photos taken (violet light is fake, it would not be visible with studio lights).
I don't think I've ever made any hardware that dragged on this long; usually, I can get it done super quick. A year and a half in Shenzhen is crazy😅 but we had to do a lot of new things on a tight budget, not just iterate.

Hey Zara, this video is a good intro:
youtu.be/TWNDl336EZo?si…
It's a form of UV light that is much, much safer than traditional UV for eyes and skin- so you can be in the room with it operating all day. This product we're working on is a battery-powered portable version.
The big caveat to Far-UVC is that despite our best efforts, it is very expensive (this one is going to be $595😣)- and nowhere near as good as a good respirator.
In China, our babies mask but I understand there are concerns about that in the West. If you can find a doctor or clinic willing to wear a respirator (FFP2, N95, even a KN95) that would really be best. If not, Far-UVC can be helpful.

@erbrooker @CoastalK8 Why do people think like this? Just be honest, clear, and explain how this all works. It’s 2026, I don’t people will panic about anything anymore.
