NO IPOB OR ESN WAS ARRESTED YESTERDAY AT ADANI ENUGU STATE IN CONNECTION WITH THE KIDNAPPING CASE I POSTED. CHECK THE MILITARY UPDATE AND READ THE PRESS RELEASE. I have gone through the Military report and discovered its two updates joined together. Maybe is an error from their part. Thank you all for your concern. CC @HQNigerianArmy

@UchePOkoye he shouldn’t air his opinions, controversial or not, with his name because a popular Igbo celebrity also bears that name?

Do you remember what happened when you made this tweet? Let me remind you, blogs carried it and reported it as Jeriq the artist made this post. This is what identity can actually do to you. Your posts are causing harm to someone else due to your name. Whenever you use this handle to make certain posts, not everyone will be discerning enough to know the difference. Because you are not s popular figure, it will not really matter o concern you. That is how Igbo nation has been bearing the burden of those who wear their identity but do not act within the consciousness of the identity. Take note.

Igbos in the quote mocking us are funny lol. If a whole group of people have persistently rejected being called Igbo for decades, just let them be. This incessant dragging and shaming because Anioma/Ndokwa folks decline the Igbo label only worsens the relationship that already exists. From celebrities to scholars to everyday people, we've made their choice crystal clear: “We are Ukwuani/Anioma, not Igbo.” We must learn to respect our choice. Forcing it is like forcing an Indian to call himself Pakistani simply because they share some language family and cultural similarities. Language family ≠ ethnicity. Self-identification is what matters. We have chosen not to be igbos, respect our decision.

The police has no business having an NDA styled Academy. There is no benefit to the populace in having a militarized Police Force. What is wrong with what we had before where University and Polytechnic Graduates do one year in the academy and become police officers thereafter. How can you police effectively if the bulk of your formative years has been spent sequestered away from the citizens you are meant to interact with and police ? Methinks the whole setup stems from a desperate attempt to play copycat. Very soon, Civil Defence, Customs, Immigration and even Fire Service will also want their own NDA style academies and start calling everyone else “bloody civilians”.

Greater God, the one who protects and sees what no man sees, let not my kindness become the reason I am broken. Let not my good be twisted into harm against me. I have walked for those who can't afford to pay me, I have given with a clean heart, do not let betrayal be my reward. Shield me from hidden traps, from silent enemies, from those who smile with lips but war in their hearts. When I stand for good, let evil not rise against me. When I help others, let it not become my downfall. Cover my name, defend my intentions, and let every plan meant to hurt me scatter. Greater God, fight for me in places I cannot see, speak for me where I have no voice, and turn every evil spoken against me into blessings. May my light never attract destruction, but favor, protection, and peace. Amen ✌️ 🙏

ARREST OF KIDNAPPING SUSPECTS, RECOVERY OF FIREARM AND RANSOM IN ABANI, UZO-UWANI LGA, ENUGU STATE On Friday, 10th April 2026, Mrs. Joseph Victoria was kidnapped along Umeje Road, Adani, in Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu State. The kidnappers initially demanded ₦40 million for her release. However, her husband was only able to raise ₦2 million, which was paid to the kidnappers. Upon receiving the report, I immediately mobilized from Asaba and collaborated with soldiers of the 82 Division Garrison in Adani, Uzo-Uwani LGA, Enugu State. Through this joint effort and operational support, the suspects were successfully arrested. During the operation, one pump-action rifle was recovered, alongside the ₦2 million ransom earlier paid by the victim’s husband. The suspects and recovered exhibits have since been handed over to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Adani, under the Enugu State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution. Special appreciation to the officers and men of the 82 Division Garrison for their swift response and decisive intervention. Harrison Gwamnishu Safe City Volunteer Foundation

What To Do Immediately After An Arrest By The Police! “You’re under arrest.” In that moment, panic sets in and many people make costly mistakes. But what you do immediately after arrest can determine how the entire case unfolds. You’re picked up at a checkpoint, your office, or your home. Voices rise. Pressure builds. An officer says: “Just cooperate and explain yourself.” You start talking freely. 👉 That is where many people lose control of their legal position. Under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999: Section 35 → Right to personal liberty Section 36(6)(c) → Right to legal representation Section 36(5) → Presumption of innocence 👉 These rights apply immediately upon arrest. ⚖️ What to do immediately after an arrest ✅ 1. Stay calm—do not resist Do not fight or argue physically Resistance can lead to additional charges ✅ 2. Ask for the reason for your arrest You are entitled to know “What offence you are alleged to have committed?” ✅ 3. Exercise your right to remain silent You are not obligated to: Answer questions Make statements immediately Anything you say can be used against you. ✅ 4. Request a lawyer immediately Under the Constitution, you have the right to: Consult a legal practitioner of your choice Do not give detailed statements without legal advice. ✅ 5. Avoid signing any document blindly Read carefully Do not sign under pressure Insist on legal review ✅ 6. Inform a trusted person You have the right to: Contact family or a friend Let someone know your location In Fawehinmi v. IGP, the court emphasized that law enforcement must operate within constitutional limits. Your rights do not disappear because you are arrested. ⚠️ What NOT to do ❌ Don’t panic ❌ Don’t volunteer unnecessary information ❌ Don’t resist arrest ❌ Don’t rely on verbal assurances alone A single statement made under pressure without a lawyer can be used to build a case against you even if you are innocent. Arrest is not conviction. It is the beginning of a legal process and your actions at that stage are critical. Know your rights before you ever need them Stay calm and assert your rights lawfully Contact a lawyer immediately Save this post or send it to someone who needs to be informed. In law, what you do in the first few hours after arrest can shape the outcome of your entire case. ©️ Chinenye Nwaosho
