Update on the ongoing Mohbad case💔
- The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted an NGO permission to initiate fresh investigations into the de@th of Mohbad.
- The judge gave the approval on Wednesday, and the organization is seeking an order to compel the Nigerian Police Force to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s de@th.
- According to court documents, the NGO claims previous investigations were incomplete and failed to investigate everyone who was last seen with Mohbad.
- The judge directed that the police may invite and interrogate anyone who needs to be questioned, and prosecute anyone linked to the case if evidence warrants such action.
- Therefore, everyone who was with Mohbad or has any connection to the case may be reinvestigated.
- Mohbad, who passed away in September 2023, is yet to be buried as of the time of this post.

Update on the ongoing Mohbad case - Late Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, has agreed to conduct a DNA test on her son. The court instructed her to provide a hospital where DNA tests can be carried out on embalmed bodies. The court will also provide one, and Mohbad’s dad will provide another. - It was concluded that the DNA test will be conducted in three different hospitals using tissues from Mohbad’s embalmed body. - According to a video posted by Immunizer on TikTok, it was revealed that the hospital listed by Wunmi and approved by the court does not carry out DNA tests on embalmed bodies. - It was also revealed that the hospital listed by the court does not carry out DNA tests on embalmed bodies either. Only the hospital listed by Mohbad’s dad carries out DNA tests on embalmed bodies. - Mohbad’s dad revealed that he asked his lawyer if the case can be moved from Lagos to Ekiti. - The father also appealed to the Lagos State Government to allow him to bury his son, as Mohbad has not been buried since he passed away in 2023. - Mohbad’s dad said that without the DNA result, Mohbad cannot be buried.
