@davidk368430332 Once they are mandated to go to the army they’ll deflect in higher and higher rates. The current deflection rates are with roughly 0 exposure to the lives of secular Israel

@davidk368430332 It would be an accurate reflection of the parts of society that serve in the army, work and pay taxes, and in general take part in keeping the lights on.

@davidk368430332 In a decade they’ll still be 12% because of people leaving their faith.

@davidk368430332 @maverick_oi @ahhhh112358 I mean, no? The change bloc is composed of the exact same people it was in 2021, minus Saar and Gantz. It will certainly be to the left of the 2022 and 2020 govts.

@maverick_oi @ahhhh112358 Even counting Bennet the change bloc is the leftest it’s been since 2019. Check

@Funky_Capybara @ahhhh112358 I don't think Bennet should be counted as Left and he polls decently now (but may be weaker in the future).

@davidk368430332 You do realise that 60% or even breaking even is among the most favourable in the world, right? If you exclude Ultra orthodox and Arabs, over 80% of secular and traditional Jews (the “core” of Israeli society) support LGBTQ, easily.

@maverick_oi @ahhhh112358 Anti bibists are at the most left wing position since 2019 & the formation of B&W

@maverick_oi This is only incendiary if you don’t read what he said. The opinion he portrayed here was Likud policy for a decade, he just follows it through and doesn’t stop at the first point it’s convenient

@koala_karmic @ahhhh112358 Tracing *Israel’s rightwards march* to *[global] antisemitism*. Even this way the sentence is poorly written though. Cons of tweeting w/o proofreading lol

@ahhhh112358 You can easily make that case, which is why I said at least half a decade. Tracing Israel’s rightwards march to antisemitism is even funnier given that in polls the right is getting *less* seats than 2022.

@CoIddough Labour undoubtedly attempted to campaign as a centre party in that election. Labour’s PMs didn’t support splitting Jerusalem, but iirc Yechimowitz, mitzna, and Peretz did. This even proves my point that he attempted to disconnect from the left to return as a ruling party

@Funky_Capybara Olmert isn't a left-winger and Herzog isn't Meretznik, as a Labor leader he pretty much kept the traditional position and didn't break away from anything

@CoIddough Olmert did too, but every Meretz leader supported splitting Jerusalem
