This shouldn't be controversial. The Crimson Desert I played was absolutely a 6/10 for all the reasons listed in my review.
The developer has since made a whole bunch of changes to the game, so a re-review is probably warranted.

Travis Northup, the IGN reviewer who gave Crimson Desert a 6 and Marathon a 9, is asking his editor for a re-review. He is busy getting into fights with people on X about his scores. I am 💯 AGAINST the death penalty for many reasons and if it was ever reinstated in the UK, I would leave immediately.

I took the family to see Project Hail Mary last weekend. For 4 of us, it was like $90 all in. That's for like 2 hours of entertainment....
I've got close to 200 hours now out of Marathon and I haven't even got to vault 7 yet, or VIPd every faction, or even come remotely close to every upgrade. That's alot for my $60.
Even if it dies after season 1, I'll have gotten more out of this game than most others titles that have lasted a decade.
It's a ton of fun and it'll move the genre forward even in the unlikely event it gets the plug pulled.

There are a ton of people who would genuinely love marathon who aren’t playing it. It’s the only FPS MP game that’s grabbed me in many years and offers something actually unique in the space. I hope more people give it a try, it’s a fantastic game

Marathon is literally Sony’s best multiplayer game. hit #1 in US sales and #2 global before/after launch, with great reviews, and a playerbase of superfans after barely a month.
it’s beating the competitors for paid shooters, and closing the gap behind Arc. definitely “A Hit”

dude i fucking wish marathon wasnt shrouded in controvercy before release.
Universally all ACTUAL critics (not just the people who suck at fps games) have given the game an incredibly high review score and have said it scratches an itch many games dont.
