Awkward on-air moment as veteran journalist Adam Boulton completely stumbles and fumbles when Julia Hartley-Brewer asks him directly: “Are you still friends with Peter Mandelson?” Boulton hesitates, then pretty much admits yes, saying he’s still been messaging him. Peter Mandelson, the man once dubbed the Prince of Darkness, didn’t just stay chummy with convicted p*dophile Jeffrey Epstein after his 2008 conviction for sex crimes involving minors. He called him his “best pal,” sent supportive messages, advised him on fighting for early release, and kept the friendship going deep into 2011. Worse, while serving as Business Secretary, Mandelson allegedly leaked sensitive, market-moving government information to Epstein during the financial crisis, including internal reports on selling off UK assets and plans around bankers’ bonuses. Epstein even funnelled money his way (including $75,000 in payments linked to Mandelson and his partner). He’s now under criminal investigation for misconduct in public office over it all, and his disastrous appointment as US Ambassador was axed in disgrace. This is a man who repeatedly sold out Britain’s interests for personal gain and access to Epstein’s elite circle. And Boulton thinks “friendship” excuses it? These are the same establishment journalists who preach endlessly about accountability, ethics, and “holding power to account”. Yet they’ll happily keep messaging a national embarrassment tied to a child r*pist network. Unbelievable! The hypocrisy stinks.
