I'm hearing from a very reliable source that Trump is preparing to use his DOJ to target multiple Democratic congressional candidates with fraud-related prosecutions ahead of the midterms, all in an effort to help preserve a Republican majority. The goal does not seem to be securing convictions. It seems to be creating just enough suspicion in the minds of voters that some stay home on Election Day or choose the Republican candidate instead. Meanwhile, many Republicans seem entirely unbothered by the fact that Trump himself was found liable for fraud and has pardoned more than a dozen convicted fraudsters. Their concern does not appear to be fraud itself, but the political value of accusing others of it.

I know that Asian people love to hate one another and divide one another, but genetically speaking, all Asians go back to Africa at some point. However, many Asians share genetics with Denisovans. Many Europeans have the same story. We originate in Africa but we share genetics with Neanderthals. Biologically speaking, only one human race still exists. Homosapiens. The other human races have been extinct for a long time. This has been known in biology since the completion of the human genome project. That being said, we are all Homosapiens. We are the same race (species). We do have different phenotypes though that gives us different traits. Asian, White, Black. These are archaic old world European racial groups created before we truly understood genetics. I'm not certain if Asia does this, but in the West we still keep track of these old world racial groups because we humans are tribal animals. We love to divide one another for simple things. And these divisions do have real world affects on groups of people. I hope you found this information helpful. As for the Ainu, these were the first people to migrate to the Japanese islands. Much like America, the modern Japanese persecuted the Ainu people and even nearly snuffed out their culture and history. Though eventually they were given protective status and people try to help them preserve their history as much as possible. She is wrong to say the modern Japanese ancestors were Ainu. (This is based on memory. I might be incorrect. I need to look into it again.)

because people are too fucking stupid/misogynistic to understand this update: the judge threw out the sexual harassment claims (she’s still able to bring claims of retaliation) because he ruled that Lively couldn’t bring a SH claim under federal law since she was an independent contractor on the film. federal anti-discrimination laws including Title VII do not protect non-employees. California state law DOES have protections for ICs, but the judge ruled that she can’t file a claim under CA state law because the movie filmed in New Jersey. This is a horrifying reminder of how fucked our system is
