"New York City spends roughly $37 billion/year to educate about 850,000 kids. That's over $42,000 per child per year. And the results are abysmal. Two-thirds of fourth graders can't do math properly and almost three-quarters can't read at grade level... ...What we can do, Mr. Mayor, is tell every mom in NYC that the $42,000 currently spent on that terrible education is going to be her money." Jeff Yass, one of the 2026 Alexander Hamilton Award honorees, on how we can solve NYC's education crisis through school choice.

@EYakoby That is a very good question. The other very good question is why we don’t see pictures like this in the MSM … only the endless one sided Gaza pictures…

@mjdutt Not sure we need to import foreign academics who seem intent on diving Maori and Pakeha … As for there being a white ethno state in New Zealand you would have to be living in an alternate reality to suggest that…

Just a few minutes ago IDF soldiers murdered an innocent Palestinian at the Qalandia checkpoint. His only crime was charging towards Israelis with this rifle firing rounds of bullets trying to kill innocent people. Al Jazeera will probably feature the guy as a doctor or a poet.

@misanharriman Do you ever talk about the individuals slaughtered on 7th October 2023 ? A pregnant woman was shot in the stomach that day, however she nor her injured child survived long. 1,250 people were killed in just 12 hours that day. These people including 45 children were killed F2F

'After almost a week of deliberation, the jury could not agree that I was guilty.' 'Every time we show up, we remind ourselves, the country, the world — that this genocide will not go unaccounted for. That there are people who will not stay silent. Who will not be put off. Who will not be frightened into looking away.' — @Majstar7 Incredibly proud of our brother Majid. The state and the lobby threw everything at him. He was unwavering. Uncompromising. After over three weeks, the prosecution failed to prove guilt. Now they want a full 4‑week retrial — to try and convict him again under the Terrorism Act. To make him face up to 14 years in prison all over again. All those resources. All that public funding. Because Majid dared to support the oppressed and illegally occupied Palestinians! God bless and protect you, Majid. We will stand with you every step of the way.

Sydney: 🇦🇺 N*zi Netball mum named. The charges are alleged. We will see what the courts say. Jody Scarcella, a married mother of two from Chifley, in Sydney's south-east, has bunkered down inside her modern townhouse since the alleged incident at Heffron Park, Maroubra, on Saturday morning. Despite Monday marking her 43rd birthday, there was no sign of celebration at the split-level home, where she was occasionally seen peering through the curtains during a Daily Mail stakeout. There was no answer at the door, incoming phone calls were disabled, and nobody emerged to take Scarcella's school-aged children to school on Monday. The Daily Mail understands that Scarcella - believed to be a former childcare worker - was too frightened to emerge due to the media presence outside her home, with several news crews pulling up after the Mail arrived shortly before 7am. Scarcella and her husband, Brent, have also deactivated their social media accounts since Sunday, including their business-related profiles. She has retained prominent criminal defence lawyer Paul McGirr, a former NSW Police officer and prosecutor.

In a fawning softball 60 Minutes interview released Sunday, Benjamin Netanyahu stressed the importance of winning “the propaganda war” on social media. This comes as Israel moves to quadruple its propaganda budget to $730 million a year. “Netanyahu attributes the reputational harm to Israel almost entirely to social media, which he calls the eighth front of the war,” said Major Garrett, which apparently is a real name belonging to a real guy who works for 60 Minutes. “This is yours, right?” asked Netanyahu, picking up Garrett’s phone. “You’re not immune either. Because you can penetrate this machine, you can penetrate this little instrument, and you can say about Major Garrett anything you want. And I can paint you as a monster. And if I say it often enough, enough people will believe it.” “We have seen the deterioration of the support for Israel in the United States almost — I would say, it correlates almost 100 percent with the geometric rise of social media,” said Netanyahu, adding, “We have several countries that basically manipulated social media. And they do it in a clever way. And that’s something that has hurt us badly.” “Israel is besieged on the media front, on the propaganda front, and we’ve not done well on the propaganda war,” the prime minister lamented. Netanyahu has been repeatedly stressing the need for more aggressive propaganda manipulation as public opinion of Israel plummets worldwide. Earlier this year he told The Economist that “I’d like to do everything I can to fight the propaganda war waged against us,” complaining that “we’ve been using cavalry against f-35s, because they’ve flooded the social networks with the fake bots and many other things.” Despite having the entire western political-media class bending over backwards to protect Israel’s image, Netanyahu consistently frames his country’s struggle for narrative control as a brave little David figure standing up against the colossal Goliath of anti-Zionist social media users. Last year the Israeli leader claimed that Israel is losing the propaganda war because “there are vast forces arrayed against us,” denouncing “the algorithms of the social network that are driving a lot of everything else.” In a meeting with American social media influencers last year, the prime minister spoke of how vital the forced sale of TikTok has been for Israeli information interests, and said that Elon Musk could help facilitate Israeli PR on the X platform as well. “We have to fight back. How do we fight back? Our influencers,” Netanyahu said. “We have to fight with the weapons that apply to the battlefields in which we’re engaged, and the most important ones are on social media.” Of course, the possibility of Israel improving its public image by simply murdering fewer people and doing fewer evil things is never even considered. Its is taken as a given that shoving pro-Israel messaging down everyone’s throat is the only way to sway public opinion in a positive direction. It is under this framing that Israel has again massively increased its propaganda budget for the year, after having massively increased it from what it was the year before. The Jerusalem Post reports the following: “Israel is betting nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars that it can talk its way out of a reputation crisis. “Lawmakers in Jerusalem approved a 2026 national budget last month that includes roughly $730 million for public diplomacy — the broad category known in Hebrew as hasbara — more than four times the $150 million they allocated the year before. That earlier sum was itself about 20 times what Israel had spent on such efforts before the war in Gaza broke out in 2023. “The unprecedented expenditure comes as survey after survey shows declining support for Israel in the United States, its most important ally. A Pew Research Center poll released earlier this month found 60% of Americans now view Israel unfavorably, up seven points in a single year, with only 37% viewing it favorably.” So you know how you’re already seeing an insane amount of pro-Israel propaganda and running into aggressive Zionist trolls online? You can expect that to get a whole lot worse. Narrative manipulation has served Israel well over the years, but there’s a limit to how much propaganda can accomplish. If I walked up to you and spat in your face, there’s no amount of verbiage I could throw at you to convince you I’m actually a nice person. There’s only so much carnage people can watch on their phones before you can no longer convince them it’s not what it looks like. The propaganda has already hit a point of diminishing returns, and soon it’s going to start having a reverse effect. People are going to start hating Israel for all the evil things it’s been doing, and then hating it even more for all its in-your-face perception management operations to manipulate their thoughts and feelings. At some point the hasbarists are themselves going to inadvertently become anti-Zionist propaganda agents, just because they make Israel look so creepy with the way they’re always trying to stick their rapey fingers into everyone’s mind. The truth can only be concealed and distorted for so long.

Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 An Australian woman has been charged after allegedly shouting "F**k the Jews” and "you should all be eradicated” during an under 12s netball game involving a jewish team in Sydney. According to the police, the incident happened in Maroubra, Sydney, and the woman was later charged over offensive language in a public place. 🛑 Now the controversy is growing even further after Australian cosmetics company "Skinned Olives" appeared to praise the woman online, commenting: "Who is this Queen… she’s getting our entire set for free!" The incident comes as Australia is holding a Royal Commission into Antisemitism and growing anti-Jewish incidents across the country. Maiki Sherman has been hounded into resignation after she made a mistake by responding to offensive language used in an argument directed towards her. As the first Māori to be Political Editor at TVNZ, she was a trailblazing Wahine Māori broadcaster . It seems unbelievable that she could lose her job because of an offensive remark she made at a party in Nicola Willis office over 12 months ago. What’s also unbelievable, is how the political right have become so offended over what Maiki said. It’s become clear what she said was in response to something that was said to her which by all accounts was equally offensive so surely the whole episode should have been just put to bed, which is what Audrey Young from the Herald suggested . But no, Maiki gets ripped to pieces particularly by the right wing with comparisons of her being made to sex deviant and monster Jimmy Saville and Adolf Hitler, that’s how crazy and bloody ridiculous this has become. We had Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour going after her and the Platforms Sean Plunket consistently berating and condemning her. The attacks on a political editor in this country were unprecedented. For the record, Maiki was no Te Pati Māori Activist sympathiser as she has been accused of. In fact, Te Pati Maori actually banned her from talking to them for a while as they were furious with some of her Oriini Kaipara by-election coverage. She was also no big Labour supporter and we had a number of run ins with her over the years. However, I was still very proud of her, I watched her closely when she was younger at Newshub and when she became TVNZ political editor. It was a proud moment for Māori broadcasting and Māori women. It’s a shame TVNZ let her down so badly, deciding obviously with pressure from this government, that her position was untenable. Amazing really, when I look back at history and the behaviour of other NZ political editors. Think about the behaviour, of former revered political editors like Bill Ralston, Mark Sainsbury, Barry Soper, Duncan Garner and Paddy Gower over the years. There are endless stories about their misdemeanours but these male editors were celebrated. In fact, some of the stories about what they got up to where alcohol was always involved is celebrated and part of Parliamentary folklore. So much so that Parliaments most senior journalist Richard Harman said he has never seen behaviour in response to Maiki in his 55 years as a journalist and questioned who will the lynch mob turn on next? It just seems there’s a different set of rules at play here and we have seen the loss of a great talent in Maiki Sherman .

Ani O'Brien is reaping the fruits of her choices in destroying the career of a woman who had a tough enough job without being the target of a right-wing group whose weapon of choice is Ani. I feel immense sympathy for Maiki- whatever she did, she didn't deserve this.

NZ Govt charges same Road User Charge on a small electric car as it charges a giant 3.5 tonne diesel SUV. Giant cars cause more road damage, injuries and deaths to pedestrians, cyclists and children, more climate and air pollution. It is a bizarre subsidy and it needs to change.

🚨BREAKING: Brown University student Alex Shieh previously EVISCERATED the school's administrators for having a $46 million deficit, despite surging costs for students. They pay $90K+ PER YEAR. Alex Shieh: "What about the kids who weren't born on third base?! [...] Brown is on track to run a $46 million DEFICIT this year. WHERE is all the money going?" "I'll tell you where it's going. It's going into an empire of administrative bloat and bureaucracy! Brown employs 3,805 full time non-instructional staff for just 7,229 undergrads. That's one administrator for every two students." "This isn't education. This is bloat paid for on the backs of students and families who are mortgaging their futures for a shot at a better life!" Do you firmly support Alex Shieh on this? A.
