He doesn't respect govt bureaucratic protocols, good heavens! Canadians will hate him for it! They said. A year on, Mark Carney is one of the most popular Prime Ministers in Canadian history hitting numbers that only Jean Chretien ever reached. Canadians, and the whole world, view him as the strongest most compelling leader of the democratic world, to the point everybody is talking about "The Carney Doctrine". A year on, his pundit critics are humbled. And Pierre Poilievre is desperately trying to make us think he's a mature, serious thinker who reads actual books. Mark Carney is going to be Prime Minister for a long time.
