Started learning Godot with @NathanGDQuest "Make your first 2D game" video. I'm completely enthralled by the engine now and I can't wait to get better at it.

@Diomonogatari Crazy to think that was 20 years ago... I still use Flash for 2D graphics (I guess Animate now) even though it crashes constantly.

@Pumpklin3 The tiles rising out of the fog was a coincidence. I think I started the early versions of this game before stephen's sausage roll was released. But I will say that there are at least a couple mechanics I have yet to show that are certainly inspired by that game.

@GoodHeartGames the way this gameplay is put together reminds me of, besides the obvious example that one person said, weirdly enough Stephens Sausage Roll did that game inspire you at all?
