I enjoyed chatting to the B1M team for this video, and the opportunity to namecheck the two employees of Eiffel - Nouguier and Koechlin - who came up with the original concept (and co-patented it) for the 1889 exposition. Eiffel bought them out.

The official opening of John Rennie's #London Bridge took place #onthisday 1831. After Rennie's death, the bridge was completed by his son, also John, who was knighted for his work. See p33 of e-mag at rbt.org.uk/john-rennie/
