The GICSD BOE honored senior Brooke Christensen at its meeting tonight. Christensen completed her indoor track season with a trip to a national meet. She finished 3rd in the state in the weight throw. At the Section VI meet, she won the weight throw and was MVP in field events.

Grand Island survives to defeat a stubborn Pioneer squad 57-53. Dane Brown led the way for the Vikings with 30pts ( 6-3pt, 8-8FT), playing with confidence hitting big shots throughout the game, Jayce Wylke scored 20pts (15pts in 2nd half), be aggressive on offense making tough plays. KJ Wilkes scored 4pts making 2 crucial FT late in the game. Jake Castiglia had 2pts and Jonathan Neville also made a FT (1pt) late in the 4Q.
