Parallel testing in Laravel with multiple database connections is way more fiddly than it should be. The closest solution is a now deleted blog post by @sarahjting. Is this really that rare a scenario?

Today, I made the mistake of flying to London's Heathrow Airport. This was a remarkably stupid move on my part, given that London, and by extension Heathrow, is located in the failing formerly-developed alcoholic country known as "the UK" Within thirty minutes of landing, I was through customs, on the Piccadilly line and four stops later, in a Weatherspoons, drinking a $2 pint of real ale, eating a $5 traditional breakfast, surrounded by groups doing the same thing. I wasn't intending to have a drink, since I've not had one in six weeks, but the peer pressure got to me. Tomorrow I will be paying dearly for this oversight.

I'm not a business person. I'm a problem solver who just happens to be running a business. I always wanted to have my own company so I could wake up and work on whatever I wanted. Business is fun, but the journey to making my database faster and 5x smaller is way more fun.

Advising junior devs not to over engineer things is depriving them of a pivotal learning experience. It's a rite of passage to massively over engineer a project and then subsequently learn why it was a mistake when you go to maintain it
