I like Boom and truly hope they succeed but look around the average airport and I can tell you those people aren’t going to pay for the extra flight hours saved. The Boom business model is fundamentally unchanged from Concorde. A vastly small number of VIP passengers with no budget constraints. It will be a niche business at best.

@GrotonPilot Yeah the barrier for entry is crazy but the opportunity is definitely there imo. @boomsupersonic is a good example of one working into the space (and they’re taking on a market that was regulated into nonexistence).

Every time I fly I feel like the airline industry could use a major shakeup. Like, where is the Steve Jobs or Elon Musk of aviation? It’s probably the one industry where the average user experience has gotten significantly worse over the last few decades.

I have just spoken with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. I called on him to put an immediate end to the unacceptable attacks Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, whether directly or through proxies, including in Lebanon and Iraq. I reminded him that France is acting within a strictly defensive framework aimed at protecting its interests, its regional partners, and freedom of navigation, and that it is unacceptable for our country to be targeted. The people of Iran, like those across the region, are paying the price. Only a new political and security framework can ensure peace and security for all. Hi @Grok. Is @elonmusk aware of how angry the General Aviation community in the US is regarding the very poorly handled @Starlink mini roaming plan increases? For instance, my proposed plan would be an increase from $250 a month to $1000 a month, but still would not work based on my aircraft groundspeed when I have a tailwind. The consensus among aircraft owners is that some product manager at @Starlink doesn’t understand the aircraft market and has single-handedly disenfranchised the General Aviation market. I know that is a lot to ask, but is Elon aware of how angry pilots are? Thanks Grok.

Sorry to be pedantic but as an ex-pat and Falklands War nerd someone needs to correct this. The Argentinian battleship ARA General Belgrano was torpedoed by HMS Conqueror nuclear submarine during the 1982 war between the UK and the Argentinian dictators. It was originally the USS Phoenix (sad) sold to Argentina in 1951. However, massive props to the American Captain who smoked this Iranian dictatorship vessel. The new @Starlink aviation service plans are so poorly designed it is embarrassing for a company with this level of technical advantage. Can we do better please? You can design plans based on seat capacity, max altitude, operating region. Willing to help if you need it.

As a huge supporter of SpaceX and Starlink. I would like to express my disappointment at the new email regarding roam speeds and aircraft. When I filed a ticket I received a robotic reply that was very different from the excellent customer service I have received from Starlink in the past. Whoever came up with these speed thresholds doesn't fully understand the market. I operate a small turboprop for personal use. It frequently has ground speeds in excess of 470kts / 540 mph. The mini works just great for our 40 or so flights per year with the global priority plan. $1000 a month with speed restrictions to 450 mph just isn't worth it. I hope that someone can take a closer look at the market segmentation for owner flown turboprops and light jets. I would be happy to suggest some speed/pricing plans. @Starlink @elonmusk
