Notes: Lost round two. Super close. He topped deck a Bonney to win the game. Very winnable. Could have won this game probably. Mihawk felt pretty good for not playing this deck since BCF. 3c tashigi helped a lot. 5c carrot helped a lot.

Bandaifest recap 2025 Attended my first event. Played one piece for 4 months and qualified for nats. Played Mihawk. Didn’t do quite as well at Nats. Finished 6-4. Overall pretty satisfied with my play. There was maybe only 1 game that was unwinnable. Lost most of my dice. GG

SUPER LONG POST. My entire Wave 2 Championship Review with Ace. I was on Imu just days before the first ever Championship in Asia started, & on the week itself I decided to make the swap to Ace. I wasn’t a part of the deck building of Ace from the beginning till the end, whoever came up with 6 cost Jozu & 9 cost Whitebeard, I have to tip my hat off to you. I personally just picked the list off some post & made my own minor tweaks. At that moment I truly believed Ace was the BDIF. ————————————————————— Tournament Reviews Malaysia CS 1v1 - 2nd Place (12-1) Came in 1st seed in Swiss 9-0 & only lost the Finals to Guanrong due to time call, had game on board guaranteed just short a turn to close, personally count this as a win, great start of the season. Taiwan CS 1v1 - 9th bubble out of Top 8 (7-2) TO messed up the format, they were supposed to do Top16 cut for 1v1 & Top8 cut for 3v3 but for some stupid reason they did it backwards and the entire tournament format felt like a mess. 2 of my games dropped here was to Perfect Curve Imu going 2nd (4161471), stood no chance there. Next loss was quite shocking to me, I lost an Ace Mirror. Spoiler Alert throughout the entire Wave 2, this was the only Mirror I lost. I lost because my opponent parked Roger while they had 1 life left & I didn’t draw Red Roc to remove, would die to Thatch + split lethal so I went for game with Pudding & came up a little short. This was the loss that made me decide to cut 1 Pudding for the 3rd Red Roc. Taiwan CS 3v3 | Team Score 4-0 > 4-3 | Personal Score 6-1 Honestly I think 3v3 is just a format where you pray, I’ve seen X-6 players become Champions in 3v3 & my future Singapore teammate is 1 of them… Dropped this game to the same perfect curve Imu going 2nd (4161471) , nothing new. Next up was Thailand Championships, here the format did change a little bit with the introduction of EB03, Vivi was speculated to take Ace out of the Big 3, did my relevant testing on Vivi & still decided Ace was the more consistent pick. Thailand CS 1v1 - Top 8 (9-1) Here I won almost all my Imu game. In terms of the Imu Matchup for this CS, my score was 7-1, I went 1st in 4 of those games. My loss was to a personal close friend Wasin, my loss was definitely due to fatigue on my end and making some dumb misplays & the stream being overly anal about the board state. Definitely could have gone further than Top 8 if I played perfectly. But it is what it is, onto the next event. Singapore CS 3v3 - CHAMPIONS | Personal Score 9-1 Really grateful to my Imu Pillar Glenn for having my back & my 4-6 UP Luffy player for bringing vibes to the team. 3v3 is honestly a luck format, thank God I was finally lucky after 3 years of playing 3v3. Dropped 1 game here to UP Luffy perfect curve, nothing much to say here. Thankfully the game I lost my entire team got swept 0-3. Singapore CS 1v1 - Top 4 (9-2) Dropped 2 total, 1 game in swiss to WenKai. Best Green Zoro in Singapore, also I missed Jozu on curve here & he had 10Shanks Film in that game hahaha. In the semifinals I lost to Gerrard, same thing went 1st against Imu, this time my hand was clearly unplayable. Good finish, felt super prepared for Area Finals. Singapore Area Finals (1-2) Got my revenge against Gerrard in the first round of Swiss, literally my next official match after losing to him in the Top 4 of Singapore CS last week. Felt good going into the next 4 rounds as I took down the strongest competitor in the 32 players in my opinion. Queued into 2 Green Zoro after that and missed Jozu in both games, honestly was shocking for me, I never expected to not even make Top 8 in Area Finals, the previous year I lost in Top 4 which was 1 game away from Asia Finals, thought I would overcome my past self here but God had other plans, & Jozu went to MIA on that day. Can I ask Yugioh players. What’s going on with Yugioh? It’s the only product I see on the shelf with sometimes a little bit of Magic. Maybe it’s just not worth it? Maybe it’s not fun to open? I’m genuinely curious? I haven’t played since Link monsters come out and I know the games came a long way.
