🚨 A historic betrayal that cost over 45,000 lives - as weapons and Starlink units meant for Iranian protesters were stolen by leftist Kurdish groups. After President Trump revealed the US sent “a lot of guns” through Kurdish channels for Iranian protesters, he said they largely never reached them and were kept instead. ⚪️ Protesters faced IRGC bullets empty-handed and got mass slaughtered ⚪️ Weapons meant for an organic revolution were withheld ⚪️ Thousands of Starlink units to bypass censorship were also diverted While people were being shot in the streets, critical support was taken off the battlefield. Iranians in Kurdish cities like Kermanshah stood with the Lion and Sun, and also suffered massacres from the IRGC without arms. Kurdish opposition factions prioritized their own political agendas over supporting them too. Over 45,000 paid the price, and this betrayal will never be forgotten.

@shlerbapiri @POTUS Let him generalise. Who cares. Most likely he got in touch with someone proposing Erdogan's plans of a Turkish incursion instead of arming the Kurds and this a prequel to some of the steps Turks asked for: like disarming the Kurds, first.

The Kurds took the guns.” Which Kurds? PDKI? Komala? KRG? From when? From where? These are not details — they are the facts. As a Kurdish journalist, I know how sensitive this is. Generalizations like this have real consequences. It need more details on what @POTUS meant by this statement? @TreyYingst

Give it time. When energy prices bite harder, public opinion starts to matter more. Then it's back to negotiations. In the meantime - ample opportunity to use Iranian attacks on commercial shipping lanes as a focal point. There's barely any PR to showcase how extreme the IRGC is, probably due to Trump's preference of social media as the medium of communication. He's burnt down too many bridges. He now relies upon their good grace for support.

The Europeans made a critical mistake by ignoring Iran, and taking Trump’s bait by saying “Iran is not our war.” Europe is well within range of Iran’s missiles. Its economies are threatened by closure of the Strait of Hormuz. They’ve given Trump the perfect opportunity to end US support of Ukraine. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/0…

Fox News put out a story today in the middle of a war without verifying a single detail. They can’t say how many weapons were allegedly involved, which Kurdish opposition figures supposedly received them, how untrained protesters throughout Iran were meant to be trained, armed and supplied, or who within the Iranian protest movement was even supposed to take responsibility for those weapons and their distribution. On top of that, Kurdish forces and opposition parties have denied they received any arms at all in connection with these protests, and Kurdish groups simply don’t have the reach inside Iran to distribute weapons to protesters on a nationwide scale. So how can one go on national television and imply to the entire American public that the Kurds stole weapons intended for Iranian protesters without answering these basic, fundamental questions first? This isn’t a just an oops. I’m all for arming the Kurds, I’m not okay with making an ally political scapegoats whenever it’s convenient to do so!

Trump admits that the Kurds fleeced the United States of weapons that he meant to send to the Iranian protesters. Our taxpayers got fleeced because of Trump’s incompetence. Imagine if Biden did this!

BREAKING: WTF!! Trump sent guns to Iranian protestors, but they never got into the protestors' hands, instead he armed the Kurds who refused to fight on our side. 25th Amendment this guy please. This combined with him threatening war crimes on Easter, and threatening to steal Iranian oil should be the last straw.

I don't think Trump is that sophisticated. He probably did authorize a weapons transfer but in his mind that meant an internal military force clashing with the regime within 12hours of the drop off. It's likely the US pros on the ground and security strata are also buying time. Trump can change his mind, and nobody trusts him

Ridiculous statement. Kurds do not have the capability to reliably smuggle huge amounts of weapons into Rojhelat and from there to other places. The USA knows this very well and most certainly this is just another attempt at trying to persuade Kurds to lead an uprising. Shift the blame on Kurds -> Kurds are traitors -> IRGC moves against Kurds -> Kurds defend themselves -> uprising without the USA needing to guarantee anything to the Kurds.

@Osint613 Judging by the meltdown from Pahlavi supporters over Trump arming Kurds, it’s crystal clear that they don't view the Kurds as allies in a mutual cause, but as threats to 'their country'. Going forward Kurds should only work with like minded minorities in toppling this regime.

@dutcherr3 @Osint613 The fact that they are not jumping just because Trump said jump doesn't mean the weapons aren't where they should be. Giving your average Farsi twerker a semi Auto so she can get shot and the weapon confiscated by the regime isn't how these things work.

Kurdish militias are not the same as Iranian protesters. They are armed separatist groups with limited genuine support among Iran’s Kurdish population. In many cases, these militias have directly collaborated with or been co-opted by the Islamic regime in the past. Arming them risks sparking a bloody civil war or ethnic fragmentation , exactly the kind of chaos the regime could exploit to justify its iron grip and portray itself as the only force holding the country together. Supporting legitimate, broad-based Iranian opposition is one thing. Fueling armed separatist militias is something else entirely.
