Notes from head coach Mike LaFleur at NFL owners meetings 🧵 -Confirmed the Cardinals & Packers will have joint practices, but it’s not officially official until the league stamps it off -LaFleur loves joint practices in training camp because you get to see different schemes and “hit somebody else” -on Kyler Murray: it was “time for the change on both sides” but wishes him the best. The team had lengthy conversations about every possibility around the QB decision -Feels like Minshew and Brissett will be “good fits” in this system in their own ways (Brissett: big, stands in the pocket, has the arm; Minshew: not as big but can move around and get himself out of pocket). “You can’t disregard experience in this league” on why both QBs work despite the difference in stature -FaceTimed w/ Minshew for about 4 hours ahead of the Senior Bowl -Wouldn’t say QB room is officially final because they’ll always want to evaluate and improve the position rooms as they see fit
