@heitner Exactly it’s a private organization that should be allowed to establish its own bylaws including limiting transfers and only providing academic scholarships as UNIVERSITIES! Capitalistic market will establish a minor league for such talents at that age if value is there…it’s not

The NCAA is a private organization, and its bylaws are internal contracts. EOs only direct federal agencies, not private groups. No statute gives the President power to rewrite them or deprive athletes of their rights. An EO would be aspirational only and a waste of time.

During the roundtable, Tuberville called for Donald Trump to sign an executive order to (1) reinstitute the NCAA’s one-time transfer policy and (2) create a new eligibility standard permitting athletes five years to play five seasons with no waiver or exceptions.
