FOREIGN NATIONAL ARRESTED FOR MANUFACTURING FAKE MEDICINES IN JOHANNESBURG A 50-year-old foreign national was arrested on Friday, 27 March 2026 for illegally manufacturing medicines. On Friday, members of Gauteng Provincial Detectives were conducting their operational duties in Kensington, Johannesburg when they noticed a suspect who was holding a suspicious box. The police approached her and requested to search the box. Upon searching the box, they discovered various medications inside. Further investigation led the police to a premises where they discovered a manufacturing process of medicines and related substances to the estimated value of R1 million.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, 31 March 2026 on charges related to drug trafficking. Investigations remain ongoing.
