@CityKitchener Council ran past 1am but had to tweet the passing of a couple significant bits of policy addressing the #HousingCrisis 1. Growing Together- upzoning of land for general supply. 2. Inclusionary Zoning- ensuring some homes are set aside for lower-income residents.

The simplest thing I believe about life is that everybody, without exception, flourishes when they are deeply and genuinely loved. I also believe that everybody withers when they are projected onto (negatively *or* positively) and told the projection is love.

This afternoon @voteclancy stopped by my house as part of her campaign for the Kitchener Centre bi-election. We had a truly wonderful conversation about childhood social transition other divisive matters that make up our current transgender discourse. I appreciated some of her positions, and there were other points on which we disagreed. I told Aislinn that I was going to post about our conversation and she was worried that I might mis-represent her (which, to be fair is a pretty reasonable concern in our present political conversations!) In particular, Aislinn and I found alignment in the importance of bridging the gap on these political matters and cooling the temperature of divisive discourse. It was refreshing to hear here commitment to that sentiment! I don't want to misconstrue Aislinn's positions, so I suggested that perhaps we could jump on a zoom call for a quick chat about transgender politics and we could then share our discussion verbatim. Aislinn thought this would be great, so we are going to make it happen! I'd like to thank Aislinn for taking the time to engage in dialogue with me this afternoon, and I can't wait to discuss further. I'll post and share once we've had the chance to connect! P.S. @dchapmanNDP @KellySteiss, Rob Elliott, if you'd like to share your thoughts on the politics of our transgender discourse, I'd be happy to do short videos with any of you as well!
