I think I hate how people talk about death and try and make it sound all frilly in general. Like - she’s dead, she’s hasn’t “gained her wings” she’s not a pigeon, and she’s deffo not “with the angels” they don’t bloody exist mate x

It’s so valid though!! My mum hated flowery language and fuss (and I’m the exact same) I always think about how I was constantly hitting people with the veto left right and centre when I was planning her funeral

My dad (retired journalist) hated flowery language so much that he made me promise to say he died in his obituary (as opposed to succumbing to an illness etc). Then when he died when I was 26 I had to argue with the funeral director about how cold my obituary sounded, lmao.

The update that no one asked for - I splashed out on some Abercrombie curve love and Levi’s ribcage jeans in the asos sale and oh my days they are PERF for us short divas with giant arses/hips and little waists 10/10 do recommend

Right I’m a certified M&S diva but why are their jeans sizes so chaotic? Their straight leg ones fit properly but are like skinny jeans on the leg and their crop bootcut ones (in my regular size) won’t even do up (and when I tried the next size up I looked like a borrower???)
