@7AFL The George Effect. He's now able to pounce on balls that otherwise would've been opposition clearances if not for Wardlaw chaos. And gets space because opponents are then caught out breaking forward.

@Juryduty81 Like it, but also imo the key to hawthorn was Mitchell, (and the club) refused to accept excuses and mediocrity. Remember when he publicly savaged the players and gave them the bring-your-mouthguards treatment. Then they smashed us the following week and never looked back.

Let's talk about deadwood, North has a few who are exactly that, keep getting a game and keep making the same mistakes. The key to Hawks quick resurgence was letting go of their deadwood and having faith in younger players. Clarko needs to be ruthless and quick.

Long way to go this season but will be surprised if we have a more disappointing loss than that. If only, the effort/consistency of Xerri week in week out rubbed off on his teammates, we’d be a relevant Football Club again. The slow/boring style of play when things are against us isn’t taking us anywhere! #AFLEaglesNorth
