Many Somalians always make up history like the Berbers, Kurds and other smaller groups This is not from Ancient Greece Even Macrobians there is no decisive proof that they were Somalians Image is from 1931 by Malvina Hoffman an American sculptor “muh Ancient Greece”

Depiction of a Somali man by the Greeks. Ancient greece was fascinated with Somali people. They thought they were holy warriors who had connections to god. Modern traditional Somalis still look the same.

After selling yourself for a few dollars and letting rich men pay you for degrading acts, you flee and need a new source of income. So now you write about how terrible it was over there, trying to play the victim.

Islam is divine but its essence is built on Arab identity, language and culture. And its through the Arabs that Islam was revealed. The Mahdi will be Arab, the Quran is Arabic, Jesus AS will return in Damascus, (Arab land) , majority Sahaba were Arabs , the prophet ﷺ was Arab and Allah SWT chose Arabs for his last message . There is no reason to deny this. We accepts Allah’s knowledge and wisdom. To say he chose Arabs for last message cause they were ignorant, is largely cope. The Arab culture and language was most fitting for the last message and their culture has been mass adapted by almost all major Muslim ethnicities especially the tribal structures. The Muslims who ignore this are just ignorant and have never really pondered on Islam Some scholars say it’s kufr to hate Arabs which makes sense because most non Arab nationalists start hating Arabic/Arabs and eventually start hating Islam and the prophet ﷺ (for being Arab) and become non Muslims or Murtads

It is fascinating how Islam is so frequently conflated with Arabness. Sometimes there is even an implied moral failure for those who are Muslim but not Arab, which leads to forced Arabization in many non Arab communities. Despite the historical reality that the vast majority of Muslims globally are not Arab and haven’t been for 80% of Islam’s history.

Say what you like but I hate the khamiis not when Arabs wear it (it is after all, their traditional clothing). But I hate it when men in #Somaliland wear it and abuse it. For some reason, every time I see it, my inner voice kicks in: “Watch out, Abdow… kani waa crook.”

Don’t be ignorant this hat is originally Arab from Barawe port town which had a large Arab community nowhere in Somalia else did it get worn until popularised. Even in Somalia they name the hat after the port city. Also Somalian sultans dressed like Arab sultans
sagal 🐆@cleothemermaid0

Somali’s should take steps to protect and promote our traditional clothing through organizations like UNESCO. Somali dirac is being claimed across East Africa, and the same thing is happening in Oman with Somali hats.

@HisanDaMan Who said he was an Afro centrist ? He was part Zanj through his father’s side, hence him having an essay about the merits of Blacks. x.com/iiimouni/statu…

@PaperLiger7 If you read the text he acts as the interpreter for Black people, mixing the third (qālū) and first-person plural (qulnā) forms

In Fakhr al-Sudān ʿalā al-Bīḍān (The Boast of the Blacks over the Whites) the 9th-c writer Al-Jahiz records arguments praising blackness: “No color is deeper & more homogeneous than black.” The text describes Black people (Zanj) as beautiful, righteous, generous & intelligent.

There are South Asians trying to diminish the Turkic identity of the Moghul Empire, so that Timurids seem "more Indian". This page is an example. Timurids were Turks. Not Indians. The Mughals were foreigners to India. They belong to the Turkic and Mongol nations, not India.
Timurid-Mughal Archives@Timurid_Mughal

Despite the attempts of the Hindutva right wing to portray the Timurid-Mughals as 'foreigners', nothing can be further from the truth! No amount of revisionism of history would ever succeed in separating the Timurids of India from the land they cherished, loved, & guarded as home! #500yearsofthegreatmughals

@brinneybih @river_dusty @HisanDaStallion @imsoprettyylike You could say it's partially racially loaded, cause some racists use it that way, out of own ignorance, because there are plenty darker people in North Africa. But it's also where the Sahara runs, so it's Sub Saharan Africa and if you remove Sahara it's still North Africa

@river_dusty @HisanDaStallion @imsoprettyylike because how is chad not part of africa while sudan is? mali? mauritania? it becomes very obvious that North vs Sub-Saharan is a racialized term not based on geographic markers

Since we’re on this topic, the term “Sub-Saharan Africa” needs to go. It’s a colonial label rooted in racial hierarchies, and it’s often used by North Africans to reinforce anti-Black racism and distance themselves from the rest of the continent
fremen tammy 🇹🇳🇵🇸🇻🇪🇨🇺@TamTamTammy3

the term "West Asia" is not a suitable replacement. It disconnects North Africa from what society currently refers to as the "Middle East". I don't think anyone seriously thinks that Egypt for example has more of a connection to Subsaharan Africa than it does to it's
