I recommend a credit card with an airline, buy plane tix 2 to 3 months out. Drive to cons when possible, put 4 in a room to offset costs. No DD/Uber Eats at cons, avoid pricy hotel food, if you can. Most important: learn when to say NO. Furry cons are not worth going into debt!
