My wife and I disagreed on this, but then she blew my mind: consider you own all of these. It shifts from "What you want to eat" to "What you cannot afford to waste". Those greener ones probably have a few days on them still. Gotta shift to 9 to 11 to make sure not to waste it.

@Holtstrom This is an excellent example. It's not that the Gruffalo isn't good, but I would say "Room on the broom" is at least as good? One gets the phenomenon, and one doesn't? That's the piece I'm missing. What is that magic ingredient?

Unpopular opinion: I read "The Gruffalo" for the first time the other day and... it's fine? It seems like people went ape over this and I have no clue why?
