@HowGoodIsRugby @brumby_fan @kinson88 Attended the NSW girls academy trial tonight in Merrylands. Over 100 girls aged 14-18. Amazing talent. They tested vertical leap, speed, tackling, passing and they played games. The game is good shape.

@flipvandermerwe Go back and watch rugby from 25 years ago and tell me they didn’t get scrums set and going faster. No one wants to ban them but get on with it. Okay at internation with full stadia - can get dour at club level.

Now tell me how would taking away scrums make this game better in any way

@bencoles_ The issue is playing long advantages. Far too long for technical infringements. Less penalties and let the game flow.

Steve Borthwick afterwards mentioned the confusion around this knock-on. Fin Smith kicked the ball away, having been told England had a penalty advantage, right as Nika Amashukeli said it was just a knock-on (after a call from the TMO) and that advantage was over.
