🎣 ICSF joined the IPC for Food Sovereignty delegation in Cartagena, supporting SSF organizations as social movements brought their demands into the official intergovernmental space. The SSF Guidelines remain underenforced. Ocean grabbing, industrial aquaculture, and conservation-driven displacement still threaten fishing communities. IPC movements responded with a clear call: Redistribution, Recognition, Restitution, and Regulation. Next stop: CFS and COFI 37 — where fishing communities must be central, not peripheral. We are writing to encourage you to take the 2026 UN Global Risk Survey, which will close in one week on Thursday, 19 March 2026. Completing this survey will ensure that your organization’s perspectives on global risks are included and will also help the United Nations better analyze risk perceptions across and within regions. nus.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_73… The inaugural UN Global Risk Report that was published in July 2025 showed that global risks are growing in both scale and complexity, and that we are not yet fully ready to address them. Since that report, the global risk landscape has changed dramatically, and the 2026 Global Risk Report will serve as a valuable tool for understanding how these changes are perceived and how they are shaping, and must shape, policy decisions across the multilateral community. In this context, we would be grateful for your engagement as Civil Society and Non-Governmental Organizations in the survey. To capture the full breadth of the evolving risk landscape, responses from the organizations working across different regions, sectors, and levels are particularly encouraged. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and addresses 28 global risks, as well as perceptions of preparedness within the multilateral system and the barriers and enablers for effective risk mitigation.
