I’m not surprised by this take. You trivialized the betrayal but exaggerated the reaction, very typical.
Buying land in secret is not a small issue. That’s a major financial decision made behind your partner’s back, and he didn’t even hear it from her directly.
But instead of addressing that, the focus shifts to “why are some me so dramatic?”
That’s where the problem is.
That said, I’m actually glad it took being punished for his stupidity for him to see things clearly…cos covering all your partner’s (not spouse) bills, giving monthly allowance is another level of foolishness.
Maybe now he’ll learn to be more rational and less emotionally driven when dealing with women.
And if he’s sensible enough, he’ll realize that what he thought was a relationship was never really one.

I hate when you genuinely love someone and instead of talking things out they just go cold on you because they’re upset. My colleague has been off since Tuesday, not her usual self at all so I asked what was going on… That’s when she told me her partner hasn’t been answering her calls or agreeing to see her ever since he found out she secretly bought land without telling him. And the craziest part? He didn’t even hear it from her. He found out through her younger brother (they live together). He called looking for her, couldn’t reach her, and the brother casually mentioned she was on site and the network there is kind of bad 😩 He confronted her, she admitted it… he ended the call, and that was it. Since then? Silence. Calls, messages… nothing. And honestly, I get being upset, but completely shutting someone out like that? That’s harsh. Why are some men so dramatic?

And this has been happening for almost 2-3 years that I can recall.. my muscles don’t reduce. I haven’t reduced in weight rather, I am bigger, stronger and healthier…

One obscured hurdle many families didnt take note of while relocating to the UK is the international fees they'd pay for their child(ren) heading to uni before they attain permanent settlement (ILR). That's £28,000 or more per session for tuition, hostel & book on the burner. 🔥

I understand where you’re coming from but guess what doc , in the clubs in uk henny and Martell go between £80-£120 also, so it’s not a Nigerian thing per say, it’s the club/ lifestyle thing that’s why many men buy from corner shop and get high before entering club in uk

I will share more prices for you people to see. Ciroc, Martel and Henessy are all barely £40. Yet in Nigeria, someone will be selling it for 250,000/300,000 Naira or more inside club. I have attached the drinks and the prices. These are all cheap drinks walahi 😂 Even the almighty Azul is barely £160. What is going on in Nigeria is scam and exploitation by criminals who are selling fake and overpriced drinks rebranded as “luxury”. You will be buying cheap liquor and be feeling yourself 😂 😂 😂 may God save my people.

I was really really shocked by the prices of Alcohol and wines when I moved to the UK. Casamigos is more than £40 Jack Daniels £30 max Hennessy £40 So why are they ridiculously pricey in Nigeria??

I went to this hospital at Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja Lagos I wanted to see the gynecologist. I paid for registration, 23,766 Paid for consultation, 119,000 Paid for tests close to 350k (it was about three hundred and forty something) Minus my T.fare o Now after close to a month, my results are ready. Oya o, tell me what the tests says. NO, I HAVE TO PAY 64,000 FIRST before the gynecologist can interpret what my tests says. I almost lost it with them! They said it's the policy. And frankly i don't have 64k to pay for tests interpretation. I told them to send the results to my mail. I'm so heartbroken and disappointed.

I really don’t see how this is right. Discuss with your clients on initial contact if this is what you want to do and why can’t you incorporate follow up in the first consultation price? I don’t understand.

@lidocaine_v2 @Captain_Ogbodo It is simply about communication. Telling people what they are paying for and what it covers. This is a normal practice in every sector in the world.

You’re speaking from the position of a Doctor, because you know how things are meant to be. She should have been informed initially that payment is for one consultation. It is a common practice here

It is very simple. If I come to you with a problem and you send me for bloods, I expect to be informed of the results except you inform me otherwise.

Not a single sacrifice this President has made.
When the economy is hardest, he makes zero sacrifice and lives large.
Came into power and splurged on a new Jet, Yatch, mansion for VP, fleet of armored SUV, and billions for travel.
Has a big cabinet with some of the most incompetent ministers we have seen.
We now have an apartheid power supply system that has gotten worst. He goes off grid and splurges on solar.
Fuel prices are high he mouths the same worthless CNG plan and tells Nigerians to be grateful.
People are being killed in hundreds and lazily tweets 2 days later and when he manages go get himself to visit the victims, he addresses them at the airport.
Every other day, something is being named after him. No decorum or class. Just embracing and encouraging shocking levels of subserviency from the shameless political class.
Nigerians pay more for everything. A generation of young people are having their productive years wasted with no form of care or remorse.
I have benefited absolutely nothing from Tinubu’s government. He promises better future that requires sacrifices. Sacrifices he has shown no interest in making.
A leader should be an example. Make some sacrifices. Show you care.
