Introducing Operation Matrix Because Matrix operations generally break kids’ brains on whiteboards… Matrices aren't just numbers- they are transformations in space Now can actually SEE the geometry: every addition, multiplication, inverse, eigenvalue, and eigenvector becomes a transformation in real-time space. What it visualizes: • Basic ops (add/subtract/multiply) • Transpose, Invert, Adjugated • Cross products + Determinant • Matrix powers + Eigenvalues/Eigenvectors #LinearAlgebra #CreativeCoding #ThreeJS #ReactThreeFiber #MathVisualization #EdTech #WebGL #STEM @reactthreefiber @threejs

@AhmedShahnab Superb. Please make a 2D visualizer as well. This is helpful for students getting into Tech Art or VFX TD roles as well 🥰

@pikuma I read the email. You're selling yourself short. You graphics programming course already teaches game dev math. The C++ and physics are superb as well. So perhaps divert your readers to those courses. 🙌🏼

I receive a lot of emails (I mean it, I'm not making it up 😜) asking me if I have plans of recording a "Math for Computer Science" or a "Math for Games" course at pikuma.com. I have thought about this for a long time, and I am inclined to say it won't happen... at least, not as a "heres a list of topics and exercises of the math used in CS" format most people expect. The approach I use in all my courses is very free and fluid. Sometimes we start looking at a computer science problem, but soon we find ourselves learning concepts of mathematics, then we end up looking at physics, then a little bit of chemistry shows up, and to connect everything and make sense of this unorthodox learning path we need to look back and learn from history too, etc., etc., etc. The boundaries are not clear and to actually absorb the topics we need to touch multiple areas of knowledge. If you simply want 'Math for Games' or 'Physics for Programmers', there are countless books and resources out there filled with formulas and derivations from the popular math you use in CS & gamedev. But that's not usually what we do in our courses, and I don't think I'll use this format anytime soon. I'm sorry if that's not the news you expected, but I hope it's clear why I decided to do things this way. As always, if you want to discuss ideas or get suggestions of books on these topics, we are always discussing them in our courses. God knows I have read more books on these topics than I should. 😅 See you soon.

@TolkienWorldG -Peter should make the IP align with the original trilogy . -I'm not sure if the focus should be on 3 earlier chapters - But if they want to, I'd do 2 on streaming and 2 theatrical Peter if you're reading. Hire me. I was born for this. God speed

In the coming days, employers will see a stream of resumes of once-in-a-lifetime quality folks. An important thing to understand is that Epic never lowered our hiring standards as we grew, and the layoff wasn't a performance-based "rightsizing" as companies call it nowadays. It's a sound bet that anyone with Epic Games on their resume is in the top few percent of their discipline.

Viggo Mortensen on his favourite scene in the Lord of the Rings trilogy: the departure of Boromir. “That scene, I have to say—no offence to anybody else or any other part of the trilogy—but that’s maybe my favourite scene. It’s such a beautiful scene. And there are no effects, there are no imaginary monsters. It’s just two people who have a connection in terms of their ethnicity—you know, Gondor and all that—but they’ve been at odds. They’ve been kinda butting heads until then. And then there’s just such a strong connection.”

George R.R. Martin on how film and TV adaptations make the story worse: "Everywhere you look, there are more screenwriters and producers eager to take great stories and “make them their own.”   It does not seem to matter whether the source material was written by Stan Lee, Charles Dickens, Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl, Ursula K. Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, Raymond Chandler, Jane Austen, or… well, anyone. No matter how major a writer it is, no matter how great the book, there always seems to be someone on hand who thinks he can do better, eager to take the story and “improve” on it.   “The book is the book, the film is the film,” they will tell you, as if they were saying something profound.  Then they make the story their own. They never make it better, though.  Nine hundred ninety-nine times out of a thousand, they make it worse." Is he right?
