Part 2: Now, allow me to speak about exemplary leadership — the type of leadership required to truly impact a community. In every community movement, leadership is essential. But a true leader must know how to: unite people, support others, organize, educate, guide, maintain discipline, and above all lead by example. Today, we are facing different ideologies. Unfortunately, some leaders believe they hold a monopoly on knowledge, and this can become dangerous for their communities. In a blockchain project, every idea matters. Every individual represents value within the ecosystem. A good leader must allow freedom of expression, listen to the community, and encourage the sharing of ideas instead of constantly imposing personal opinions. That is what creates unity and reduces conflicts. And if we truly want to succeed, we must take inspiration from the Pi Network Core Team. Before implementing major changes, the Core Team consults the community, conducts tests, and allows everyone to participate. Despite enormous pressure and responsibilities, the Core Team continues to participate in important conferences and remains close to the community. Leadership is not limited to speaking behind screens or giving orders online. True leadership happens on the ground through action, sacrifice, and commitment. If we want a unified and active GCV ecosystem across all sectors worldwide, then we must follow this example. Before concluding, allow me to address an extremely important point. On December 27, 2023, the Pi Network Core Team presented three major conditions for progressing toward the Open Mainnet: Community unanimity; - At least 100 ecosystem applications available on Mainnet; - The achievement of KYC and wallet migration goals. Today, we can clearly see that the last two conditions are almost entirely fulfilled, with more than 18 million KYC validations and over 16 million migrated wallets. Now, the simplest… yet also the most difficult challenge remains: UNANIMITY. This message from the Core Team deeply awakened our commitment. From January 2024 to June 2024, we accelerated our activities: more than 21 trade fairs, blood donation campaigns, newborn kit donations in hospitals, radio and television appearances, petitions, as well as a major afterwork dinner organized on June 28, 2024. It was also during this period that we officially announced the platform: E-MARKETPI The objective of this platform was to unify Pi users and create a common economic interest. Dear members of the Pi Network community and pioneers building the digital economy of the future; Today, we will embark on an in-depth journey into one of the most debated and sometimes most misunderstood concepts in the Pi Network ecosystem: "Free Market." Prepared under the guidance of Doris Yin, topic 106 explains not only an economic term but also Pi's strategic line of defense on its path to becoming a global currency. What is a Free Market? Misconceptions in the Pi Ecosystem Many people, when they hear "free market," imagine an environment where prices are determined solely by supply and demand without any intervention, an environment dominated by chaos and speculation. However, in a visionary project like Pi Network, a free market is not lawlessness, but a valuation area shaped by community consensus. 1. The Misconception that "A Free Market Means Everyone Can Set Their Own Price" The biggest misconception is that a free market means uncontrolled price fluctuation. This is precisely where traditional cryptocurrencies have failed: assets like Bitcoin have not become a payment method in daily life due to price volatility. Pi, on the other hand, is not an asset, but a currency. The free market allows the community to determine its own value by owning its own currency. If the community (Pioneers) unites at a value of $314,159, which is the GCV, this becomes a "freely" chosen collective will. 2. The "Exchange Price is Real Value" Misconception Exchanges often reflect fear, speculation, and a lack of understanding. Whales and large investors can create panic to buy up Pi from the pioneers at a low price. However, the true value of Pi is not in its instantaneous price on the exchange; it lies in education, usage, and contributions to the ecosystem. As stated in the guide, the true value of GCV will only be fully understood when the market gains confidence and Pi is used as a real purchasing power within the ecosystem. 3. The Role of Merchants and Businesses In a free market, it is vital for merchants to accept Pi. However, a misconception is that merchants are expected to immediately give everything in Pi. Yet, merchants need cash flow (fiat money) to pay rent, salaries, and taxes. Therefore, partial Pi payments and small-scale swaps during the Closed Mainnet phase are the healthiest way to ensure the sustainability of the ecosystem. This is also one of the reasons why I often share articles and viewpoints from GCV leaders in different countries. Many of these leaders demonstrate vision, wisdom, openness, and humility. Through communication and learning from one another, the global community can continue to grow stronger together. Everyone desires democracy and freedom of opinion. However, true democracy also requires education, understanding, responsibility, and mutual respect among its members. Without sufficient education and economic understanding, differences in opinion can easily lead to conflict, confusion, and chaos. In every community, people will naturally have different views. This is normal and should be respected. But in a real economy, continuous chaos and internal fighting only bring instability and disaster. No ecosystem, business environment, or society can grow successfully without trust, discipline, cooperation, and constructive communication. In Chinese culture, there is a saying that humility helps people progress. A humble person is willing to listen, learn, reflect, and improve. True wisdom is not believing we already know everything, but remaining open to understanding different perspectives and discovering our own blind spots. When we continuously encounter problems or repeated challenges that we cannot think through clearly, it is important to reflect on ourselves first. We should calmly examine whether we may have misunderstandings, limitations, or blind spots in our thinking. Only when we are willing to identify problems honestly can we begin to resolve them effectively. This principle applies not only to individuals, but also to organizations, communities, economies, and leadership. Constructive reflection, mutual respect, education, and open-minded communication help prevent unnecessary conflict and allow the community to move toward long-term stability and success. For the Pi ecosystem and the Global GCV movement, education is extremely important. This is why the Pioneer’s Handbook and community education play a critical role in helping pioneers better understand the Free Market, ecosystem development, consensus value, and long-term economic sustainability. Call on Arabic Pioneers to Create Another Great History Through Pi Network Dear Arab Pioneers and Global GCV Community, The Arab world has a magnificent history that contributed greatly to humanity through knowledge, trade, science, culture, and innovation. Today, the Arab community remains one of the largest and most influential communities in the world, with many talented leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and visionaries. This is why I have always had confidence in the Arab community. You have knowledge. You have vision. You have commitment and a strong sense of responsibility. I have observed how the Arab community carefully studies the development of other communities, analyzes different situations, and ensures we are moving on the correct path before taking action. This level of awareness and responsibility is extremely important for long-term success. That is why today I am very happy to see more strong GCV community leaders emerging within the Arab world. I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Hazem Kenawy, Mr. Adel Salah, and Ms. Shams for voluntarily organizing this wonderful event and for their dedication to uniting and inspiring the Arab pioneer community. More importantly, we can understand our own role as pioneers. If people cannot see their role and responsibility, the destination will feel very far away. This is one reason why I wrote the 118-article Pioneer’s Handbook, the GCV Community Education Series, and the Global GCV Leadership School Series. The purpose is very simple: To build community trust. To provide education. To align our behavior and efforts toward the same long-term goal. Now let us look at the current status of the ecosystem. I can see that PCT has almost completed its infrastructure and technical upgrades. This understanding is also supported by independent researcher Mr. Mario Roberto Bustamante, who has observed blockchain activities and technical development for a long period and privately shared his findings with me. His observations align with my long-term analysis that Open Mainnet has two important layers: The first layer is technical. The second layer is economic. The technical layer includes infrastructure, blockchain systems, nodes, applications, and engineering development. But the economic layer depends on pioneers. This is where our responsibility begins. Today I can clearly see development gaps between different regions and communities. Some communities that focused on education, merchant adoption, ecosystem building, and practical utility are developing much faster. Meanwhile, some pioneers spend too much time only researching blockchain code and technical details while forgetting their responsibility in building the economy and utility ecosystem. Let me give you a simple analogy. Imagine a government spending many years and enormous resources building a modern highway system. They build the roads, bridges, infrastructure, and payment systems. That is similar to what PCT has been doing. But if nobody drives on the highway, the system cannot succeed economically. Today our ecosystem is similar. The technical highway already exists. But we still need more drivers. People need education. Merchants need confidence. Businesses need real utility. Communities need trust and cooperation. GCV represents the effort to help create confidence, stability, and unified understanding so businesses and ordinary people can participate without fear or confusion. That is why we need GCV. It is similar to how a highway payment system must have unified standards and fee structures. Otherwise, drivers will hesitate to use the highway because of uncertainty. This is why I always emphasize: PCT and pioneers are equal partners. PCT is responsible for infrastructure and technical development. Pioneers are responsible for adoption, utility, ecosystem growth, and economic activity. There is also another very important point pioneers must understand. The Core Team is generally not allowed to directly guide pioneers on community direction or economic coordination. This separation exists partly to protect the network and maintain necessary boundaries. In simple terms: PCT is like the production department. Pioneers are like the marketing and ecosystem development department. So if anyone claims they are secretly representing PCT or says, “The Core Team privately told us to guide the community in a certain direction,” pioneers should be very careful. Many false claims and misinformation are created this way. This is why community education, independent thinking, and understanding the White Paper are extremely important. Arab pioneers have tremendous potential in trade, business, logistics, entrepreneurship, hospitality, education, and global connection. The Arab world has always understood commerce and relationships between people and nations. This strength can become a major advantage in the future decentralized economy. Let the next generation remember that Arab pioneers did not miss this historic opportunity. Rise with dignity. Lead with wisdom. Build with unity. And create another great history through Pi Network.
