South Africans would quickly realize the Starlink ban makes zero sense if they forced the government to reveal its own rural connectivity plans. The truth is, Politicians have no alternative that even comes close. This blockade isn't about sovereignty or consumer protection, it's about extortion. Millions of citizens and school children are having their futures held ransom by an artificial digital divide, all to enrich a few well connected cadres under the guise of "regulation."

Starlink is reaching the most remote schools in the Amazon rainforest. A total of 140 schools across Brazil's remote region now connect to reliable, high-speed internet. Consequently, more than 14,000 students have access to online learning tools, unlocking a world of possibility and potential. The war on Starlink will be recorded as a pathetic, embarrassing chapter in the history of governance. There is zero rational economic or technical justification for this blockade. There is only the stench of political insecurity. While progressive leaders focus on connecting their citizens, corrupt politicians in South Africa seek to protect obsolete, extortionate systems. The politicians are actively shielding legacy ISP monopolies that milk their people, all while remaining utterly incapable of connecting everyone themselves.

Ghanaians leaving South Africa ahead of the June 30th deadline, which South Africa’s Dudula gave other Africans to leave the country or risk being attacked. They're captured at the O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.✍️
