I grew up denying the Holocaust. I grew up surrounded by this narrative: “the Holocaust never happened - but it should have.” What made me realize that the Holocaust was real was October 7. Seeing innocent Jews and Jewish children get slaughtered and kidnapped into Gaza, while many around the world cheered and celebrated, did it for me. October 7, and the rampant rise of antisemitism that followed, not only made me believe that the Holocaust happened, but it also made me realize the importance of a Jewish state. Muslims have 57 countries. I am waiting to hear a single good argument as to why Jews shouldn’t have one country, especially in times like these where Islamnazis and neo-Nazis are flexing their fascist antisemitic muscles in the West and the East.

@VerminusM Whenever I look at a map of Yugoslavia and see how it was divided, I find it highly likely that the same thing could happen in Syria, leaving a disarmed state for Sunni extremists in the middle—devoid of resources and with limited, controlled access to the sea, if any.

Syria arrested a Hezbollah cell of 5 operatives who attempted to plant a bomb outside the home of Jewish Rabbi Michel Khouri in Damascus' Old City. The device was neutralized. The cell was trained outside Syria in explosive placement.
