@pete_phil85 - hi Pete - a really interesting observation - many of the older paramedics from Dorset Ambulance / SWAST have had strokes or are riddled with cancer. Maybe somebody could ask “why” Shift work? Manual handling? Stress? Food? Alcohol? Radios emitting ? What?

A Special day for the Trust, for our wonderful Paramedic students who have graduated the final DipHE paramedic programme run by the Trust. Programmes commenced in 2008 in partnership with TU and more recently with Sunderland University.

As a paramedic, while I agree that simulation is one of the best tools to practice and hone skills/exposure, I often find the mannequins too artificial to really be immersed… Until I got the opportunity to use this ‘lady’ for a resuscitation lab 🫢 Unsettling! #EMS2022

@parasam1 Dr Jason is a guru - the problem is he is surrounded by idiots and nay sayers - the ventilation stuff isn’t rocket science but you should think about it!

Jason has seen an incredible increase in ROSC rates by using this method plus a new ventilator that breathes in time with compressions, PLUS gives feedback on compressions at the same time. ⬇️ off-chest time, ⬆️ perfusion, ⬆️ ROSC. #EMS2022
