Generation Kill (2008) feels less like a war show and more like a document. The focus isn’t on missions, it’s on the men, the waiting, the mistakes, the absurdity of command. It’s dry, uncomfortable, and brutally specific.

"I have nothing to hide." False. You have medical history. You have financial behavior. You have location patterns. You have political views. You have relationship data. Privacy was never about hiding crimes. It was always about owning your life.

Do men want women to be in mourning forever? Are men ok?

My boss’ boss once came to my desk looking for my boss. He seemed agitated, as he often was, and began yelling at me. While he regularly yelled at my boss and humiliated her, I decided I wasn’t going to be his punching bag in her absence. Shaking, but in a firm voice, I interrupted him and said: “Nah uh, you do not yell at me. I’m not your daughter, and my father doesn’t even yell at me. You don’t get to yell at me.” He called my name twice, menacingly. I repeated what I’d said. He walked away fuming, asked me to send my boss to his office once she got in. I thought, for sure, I’d be fired that day but I was in my twenties, and couldn’t care less. My boss came in. I gave her the message. She came out of his office looking very pleased. She never reprimanded me. Neither did he. Moral of the story: bullies know they’re bullies. Call them out and they’re powerless, even if they’re the boss.

Y'all wanna know why I am so radical in my feminism? Because I was literally 8 years old, wearing cute, childish shorts with unicorns in it, when I was cat called in such an horrid way by a man in passing car that my dad, whom I was walking hand in hand with, was genuily scared that the car would turn around and try to kidnap me. My parents never put shorts or skirts on me ever again. My little sister recalls this incident, and many others that happened as I grew up as a kid with a little more curves than others, and she remembers telling my mom that she didn’t want to be "pretty" like me so no grown ass man would ever do that to her. This is the world we live in.

Jonathan Majors falls out of a window on set of his new Daily Wire action film. When Deadline reached out for comment about unsafe conditions on the set, the producers said they “don’t negotiate with communists.” (Source: Deadline)

Found a woman's wallet tonight. Noticed she didn't have a DL in it, just a passport card. In searching for her online to contact her, I found her dwi mugshot and the lack of DL suddenly made sense.

Jack you’re not the moral authority on what an Afghan is @McCainJack . You keep highlighting virtuous examples of them. Cool. You’re highlighting Afghan pilots who had higher IQ and can therefore understand terms like honor and right/wrong. I was an advisor to these people. The rank and file. So when I call these people barbarians, I fucking mean it with every fiber of my being. You assume too much. And you’re talking with way too much authority and shaming others for their JUSTIFIED views on these people. You simp for less than 1% of Afghans who are justifiably good people and smart. Then you extrapolate it to include the whole country. I’m here to tell you that you don’t speak for us, especially the average Infantryman who suffered in the dirt and dust with these “people” 12-15 months at a time. Stop belittling others or I’ll happily belittle you.
