I recently applied for a role focused on Discovery at Epic Games.
I won’t pretend the timing feels great.
But at the same time, it felt necessary.
I’ve spent a lot of time speaking openly about Discover, player trust, and the direction of the platform. If you care enough to keep talking about it, you should be willing to step up and be part of the solution.

I’m hoping the community starts to realize that this season is supposed to be a fun neck to neck fight for THE ENTIRE SEASON
These boosters are put in place to make sure one side doesn’t just completely take the lead, and to keep it fun

I'm glad to see it sorted. But a lesson needs to be learnt from this

I'm no CEO but maybe a 2 week grace period instead of instant termination would've helped with issues like this so they can be discussed before being removed from the company? I think the lesson here is to take a little more precaution, layoffs are an already bad situation

@BackersGamesF Epic is in contact with the family and will solve the insurance for them. There is high confidentiality around medical information and it was not a factor in this layoff decision. Sorry to everyone for not recognizing this terribly painful situation and handling it in advance.
