NEW: 23-year-old Texas woman mauled to death by 3 pit bulls, just months before earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. The woman, Madison Riley Hull, was pet-sitting the dogs when they turned on her. Deputies say they were called to the home and found Hull lying in the backyard. When one of the deputies tried to help her, one of the dogs charged him. The officer then shot and killed the dog. The deputy was able to get Hull out of the backyard. She sadly passed shortly after. "Madi was love, she was light, she was kindness, she was laughter, she was fierce in the most beautiful and disarming way," Hull's mother said. "She loved life with her whole heart and moved through the world with a free spirit that lifted those around her." Pit bulls should be banned.

The discussion is not even about “killings.” It’s about violence. The peak violent act is a murder, true, but murder is not the sole metric by which we measure overall violence. By reducing it to successful slayings — excluding two attempts on Trump — and by expanding it to include McVeigh et al, you’ve tortured the data as to make it utterly inactionable. It has NO BEARING on the reality we face today. Violent crime would be better, much more difficult, and would not cut in the direction you clearly intended.

I don’t think facts should be subsumed to the whims of the president and vice president. Objective reality is objective reality.

"Film fans" that severely overlook issues the TDS trilogy has aren't film fans, just easily entertained children still pretending to be little boys watching their favorite superhero on the big screen. The family of 44-year-old Christina Solometo says there is more to the story than what you see below. Solometo was taken into custody after a road rage incident ended with feces on a car, according to police. "I know it's being joked about a lot.
