@Kryptomightguy Ehh I personally like the concept of Snake Eyes being Asian. The version I grew up with from the Renegades tv show was just a normal ass white guy who grew up in Japan for no clear reason and was just adopted by ninjas. Always felt weird how he was white.

Like, THE, Surf Dracula of all time. Doesn’t wear the suit until the literal end, once again makes him Asian which completely misses the point of the character’s origins, MAKES HIM TALK so he has to EARN being a mute, and just a waste of what could have been a great film.

@kozempic @darkdefective King’s career has kinda been pretty centered on reflecting on the topic though. One of the most common complaints about him is that he injects elements of his past into his writing. Though I suppose it isn’t often “serious reflection.”

Deeply struggling to see where Onslaught's budget went. Transformation isn't all that complex, he comes with 0 accessories and his skeleton is less plastic mass than the others... Guessing there were huge budget cuts, unfortunate.

what i saw was matt being confronted with the life of 'outcasts' in small realities where people constantly assume the worst about you; it reminded me of the reality of rural italy

@concreteeater99 Redemption is pretty anti-Protestant, or at the very least anti Southern Baptist. While the story itself doesn’t even bring up Matt’s Catholicism at all, him being the hero of the story does (unintentionally) kinda feed the “based Catholic” idea

@RiotControl2501 I mean the base Combiner Wars limb-bot engineering is pretty good despite its simplicity. It’s just an incredibly boring line to collect because of how identical the figures are. Also like two thirds of the combiner torsos are dogshit.
