That was 6 years ago. It’s so weird that you even used that as an example. That’s so odd. It has been over 2000 days ago & reportedly those buses was burnt by thugs & hoodlums (which is a conversation for another day)
Tax collection & transport allocation hasn’t stopped since that time. New buses have also been bought. Why’s demanding better seen as bad??

If you are talking about UK standards where you live, then no. You do not need a car to look successful in the UK.
Theresa May, who once served as UK Prime Minister, is known for never owning a car. She did not drive and often relied on public transport, official cars, or lifts during her time in politics.
I cannot say the same about Nigeria, where many people still judge success by material things.
