@DiamondClemson Yeah, we have arbitral precedent in my industry that upholds our right to fire employees for things they say on social media.

I usually try to keep this account mostly baseball and Clemson related, but anyone that has any kind of platform should speak up on this. Jaden Ivey got cut from the Bulls for spreading the word of God and speaking up against unrighteousness. If he was promoting sin or was any other religion, this wouldn't be happening. People are calling him mentally ill for sticking up for his beliefs and not giving into the world. Christians are being punished for their beliefs across sports and being openly discriminated against and people are perfectly fine with it. John 15:19–20 "If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they keep my word, they will also keep yours."

BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are waiving Jaden Ivey after he spoke out against the NBA for promoting 'Pride Month' and unrighteousness, according to ESPN. Ivey recently announced that he was alive in Christ. "They proclaim Pride Month in the NBA. They show it to the world. They say, 'Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.'" "They proclaim it on the billboards, they proclaim it in the streets, unrighteousness." He said nothing wrong.

@DiamondClemson It wasn’t just scripture, he was publicly bashing the league because he doesn’t like pride night/month/etc… You can’t shit talk your employer and act surprised they let you go.

All he did was present scripture on his personal social media account. If he was Muslim or Jewish, no one would have had a problem with it. This is clear and blatant persecution of Christians and I will not stand for my brothers in Christ being persecuted for spreading Gods word. If there’s any way I could share the word of Jesus Christ with you, please reach out to me. I would love to share his love with you.

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson It’s not deflection, it’s the truth. When your conduct is more of a hassle than your performance warrants it becomes detrimental to the team. Is it fair? Not really, but that’s how the world works.

@JB_In_SC @DiamondClemson ah so now the deflection comes. that is why they came out and stated that they released him “due to conducted detrimental to the team”. so please, find something else to deflect about.

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson Doesnt have to threaten, just has to violate company policy. I’m sure he’ll hop on the persecution grift, when the truth is if he were averaging 20 a night instead of missing most of the last 3 seasons because he can’t stay healthy he’d still have a job.

@JB_In_SC @DiamondClemson cheering on someone’s death, yes, can warrant your job. reading out scripture? 🤣 this just shows where this world has become.

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson Apparently that’s not the case. But also, we have a ton of precedent in my field that things you say on social media can cost you your job.

@ReganH0906 @DiamondClemson It’s the guy who thinks you can just say whatever you want at work, use “it’s my religion” as a shield, and not face repercussions. If Ivey were Muslim and made those same comments would you be defending him?

@JB_In_SC @sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi Religious beliefs cannot violate company policy. And there in lies the rub. Their waiving of him probably means they still pay him, but don’t want him playing…which they probably can do

You're entitled to believe whatever you want, so long as the woke establishment approves. But a player holding standard historic Christian beliefs that have been held for 2,000+ years is conduct detrimental to the team.

@sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi It absolutely does not. Employers may terminate employees for off-duty speech if It violates company policy, damages reputation, disrupts operations, or creates harassment or liability risk. Attempting to use religion as a shield does nothing to change that.

@sean3377 @generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi So by that logic I can walk in to my office tomorrow and say everyone who’s gay is going to hell and an abomination because I believe god said so. And I can’t be fired, right?

@generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi Hey look, retards again confusing freedom of speech with freedom from consequences. The first amendment applies to the government preventing you from saying something, not your employer.

@goodgoyclub @ShamsCharania Jaden Ivey also hasn’t played over 40 games in a season in 3 years. Hes not healthy or productive enough to deal with the bullshit. It’s always on a sliding scale, productive players and star players get away with a lot more.

@ShamsCharania Miles Bridges beat his wife in front of his kids, and Josh Giddey had sex with a minor, and they are still starting on NBA teams. Jaden Ivey basically said people shouldn't be celebrated for being gay, and they released him. This country is so fucking backwards.

@keeper_orchard @BobbyWilson1004 They had no chance against the Expos in 94. That team was incredible and had a massive lead when the strike happened.

@BobbyWilson1004 Would have won in 94 without the strike, should have won in 96 against Yankees (also Glavine and Smoltz would have had one in 91 if it weren’t for Kent Hrbek cheating and pulling Gant off the bag)
