@SynthPotato Zelda specifically I think it misses all that criticism cuz it's granfathered in. It's never been strong on story and has built up equity in fan base so no one expects it. New IP doesn't have 30 years of equity and expectations. Something new doesn't get that so flaws stand out

I’ll always find it strange how bad writing is seen as a massive issue for Crimson Desert but Breath of the Wild and TOTK both get away with having the most basic, generic writing and boring storytelling. Why do some games get a pass for focusing on gameplay & others don’t?

@isolatedrook If they add a pve all the bots need to be at least legendary difficulty. It can't be a cake walk it's gotta pose a real challenge. Purple is highest rarity attainable. Loot floors are lower, less guns/backpacks on map. No free kits 2-3k loadout min.

If a less rewarding and somewhat limited PVE mode is what it takes to get people on Marathon, I would be fine with it. I'm thinking something along the lines of Sea of Thieves' Safer Seas mode if anyone is familiar with that. Something to better ease players into the game so it's not so daunting at first.

During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

@MacticsG1 Because there's a group of unemployed people not living real life so expectations are different if you only have 10-15hrs a week to game. Now we have gamers in their 40s with less time, for years there weren't old gamers but now that's a good chunk of the audience

Well this #Motogp new track has been a total shit show. Track is obviously poorly maintained. It was still leaking water in parts of the track after hrs of drying in the sun... And now a sink hole has opened up?! Wtf
