The arbitrary execution of 10 dissidents and protesters in 10 days since 30 March, after grossly unfair, torture-tainted trials, underscores ongoing deadly repression Iran. The horrific escalation demands international condemnation and urgent action to halt further executions.
Benyamin Naghdi, a 26-year-old kickboxing and Muay Thai athlete from Shiraz, has been in detention since January 3, 2026. According to reports, he was forced to make a coerced confession under torture and pressure. Shortly after his arrest, regime media published a video presented as his "confessions." With more than a month passed since his detention, no official information has been released about his place of detention, physical condition, or case proceedings. His family has received no contact or news from him and is deeply concerned for his safety and health. He is a champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai and represented Iran at competitions in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, in 2020. Given the regime's history, his life is in serious danger.
